Selfishly, I don’t want others to find out. 😂 The owners are so friendly and helpful. Don’t skip the meals. they are so yummy. It was a peaceful and quiet retreat! The staff were super helpful. The food was great! They treated us so well. The room was spacious and clean. Feeding the Kudu in the backyard was a highlight. Since our full day safari was at 5:00, the staff woke up early to give us a packed breakfast at 4:30. We are so grateful for their kindness. I am sad that I did not get to use the pool, but will do next time!

Gerti and Willie are born hosts. It felt like being with old friends. The staff are attentive and friendly and Gerti is an excellent cook. When I arrived, I just happened to mention that I love Bobotie and - guess what - the next evening we got a wonderful bobotie... in honour of us - the Swiss guests. I do hope the other guests did not mind. Willie gave excellent advice and Gerti spent half the day assisting us in finding accommodation within the Kruger Park pulling all the triggers ... it was a lost cause, though. The place itself is lovely, creative, artsie, in the middle of nature, surrounded by animals who come for a visit mornings and evenings. We will be back once the pool is built :-)

Everything 🥰 Owners and staff were very friendly from the minute we arrived. The location is perfect, close to Kruger. Zebras and kudu visit the lodge sometimes. We had unique African bush experience. African drum is played to invite guests to dinner. Food is excellent, fresh croissants for breakfast. We will come back sure with our friends.

The location was fabulous, with animals roaming around adding to the charm. We were particularly happy with the lodge manager, who facilitated an open feedback session where our request for the cleaning staff to relax their efforts while we are using the space was listened to and appreciated. She engaged with us in a way that made us feel she genuinely wanted to understand our concerns, all of which, with a little training, can be addressed for our future stays, which we are definitely planning on. For our trip to Kruger, it was very easy to get picked up, and in less than 30 minutes, we arrived at the Crocodile Bridge Gate, which is conveniently close to the lodge. While we had organized our own guide, the lodge manager, Sandra, who is extremely helpful and responsive, can also assist with this and any other queries.
