This place is beautiful to see from above, but to be there...
This place is beautiful to see from above, but to be there is a nonsense as the beach has no sand and to enter the sea you need protective shoes for your feet and watch out for the sea urchin as the rocks are full of these...if you want to stay comfy you need to pay 40 euros for an umbrella and 2 sunbeds...and there are no public toilets

Absolutely nothing to see on the island of Isola Bella. Save your money, it's not worth it.
But, if you want to go for a swim, I would head down to the beach early as it gets very crowded. Also, don't forget your water shoes.

Very busy, even in September. Pretty but rocky beach. What made our visit was an amazing private boat trip with Pepe at Pizzichella restaurant on the quieter northern part of the beach. Such great fun!

Isola Bella is a beautiful sight however it is overcrowded. Stony beach. We had a bad experience as we wanted to have a drink at one of the beach resorts but the staff were so rude we left and never returned.

A lot of it is still under renovations. It’s a Victorian folly for those Brits who know what that is. An interesting wander but won’t take long.
The beach access is very busy, small beach area mostly private deck chairs and eating places. Lots of repeated beach hassle to get a massage.

Way overcrowded. Not really a vacation experience. The tour of the island itself is not worth it. It was maybe great 50-70 years ago but has nothing to offer now. Only the bottom half is open to the public.

My family recently had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Tovimar Apartments in Taormina. The owner's attention to detail and commitment to providing a home away from home experience is truly commendable. The main apartment we rented was equipped with brand new furnishings, creating a sense of comfort. The location, just a short 5-minute walk from the renowned Isola Bella beach, is undeniably convenient.
The view of the ocean and Isola Bella cannot be matched, even by the 5 star, pricy and famous hotels in Taormina. Gio, the hostess, is great. Her recommendations for restaurants and activities are spot-on. Parking is inside the property, no need to worry about parking in the street.
Stay at this place you won’t regret it.
The Location was the best thing about this hotel, directly overlooking Isola Bella, and an easy walk to the funicular railway to Taormina, beach and restaurants. The buses went right by in front of the hotel, and it was a short €15 taxi ride from the station. Breakfast on the Terrace was the second best thing, and the breakfast variety was excellent. The bed was comfortable.
Great apartment. Light, bright, clean and well equipped. It’s a long and very steep walk up to Taormina (or €20 taxi ride) but close to station, close to beach, reasonable walk to Isola Bella. Much prefer being close to beach. Host was extremely helpful and provided lots of advice.

Isola Bella is a short walk away. Cable car ( just up the stairs to main road) is also near to access Taormina center.
Lovely hosts. Stunning view. Thoughtful amenities like fruit and wine/beverages upon arrival. I highly recommend this apartment for couples. The inside is simple but modern and clean. It is located along the staircase down to the Isola Bella beach. If you instead walk up the stairs, you can continue along a staircase that takes you up to Taormina town (takes about 20 mins) - with beautiful views along the way!
Location has an unbelievable view of Isola Bella with a pool and jacuzzi. Roberto, the host, is fantastic. Such a kind soul. He made sure everything was perfect! He made reservations for us daily and recommended places to go and see. He has a lovely women’s shop and a bar in the center of Taormina. The staff and drinks are phenomenal! We really can’t say enough about Roberto and his apartment. We can’t wait to return and stay again!!
Help given by Edoardo on check in, apartment comfortable, facilities all what you needed including washing machine, cleanliness, front the beach-sea and easy to get on, equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas where you can enjoy the lovely sunset front of Etna, vicinity to Taormina and Isola Bella by walk.
The hotel is right on the Isola Bella beach (which is stunning!) and has designated tanning beds and staff that takes care of everything you need while you are on the beach. We stayed in a bongalo which was relatively small but quiet. Breakfast was excellent. There is free parking if you are coming by car. The restaurants in the hotel were very good. Very close to the cable car that takes you to Taormina city center.
This apartment was spacious and so close to the beach at Isola Bella. The AC worked well (it was very hot in Taormina in June!) and our host was very responsive and helpful. We unfortunately locked ourselves out and he helped us get back in within just a few hours despite living an hour away.

Rocky beaches. Beautiful waters but the beach by Isola Bella was full of small pieces of floating, degraded plastic pieces ( most smaller than 1 cm squared) due to the currents.
