This is the main gate - just outside is the starting/ending...
This is the main gate - just outside is the starting/ending point for many of the city's bus routes so it all happens here. The downside is that it is also very busy. You access the walls to walk around from this gate entrance (on you left as you come into the city)

When you enter the old City from this gate , third street on your left ( Palmoticeva) and up the stairs the first on your right is a gorgeous vegan restaurant called Nishta! One of the best vegan places💓

Pile gate very nice, unfortunately there is an unpleasant smell all day - most likely because of the sewage system. At the gate there is a stop for all city bus lines and probably some suburban lines.

The apartment seemly newly renovated. The bathroom and kitchen were updated and well equipped. The beds were really comfortable. There were a lot of steps to get to it from the main Pile Gate so be in old town. It was much easier to get to from the other gate (which the staff told us about ) . It was nice and quiet at night .

Location was excellent without stairs (normally lots of stairs in Dubrovnik old town). Mariela and Katija met our group of 10 at the Pile gate and escorted us to the apartment building where we had all 5 apartments booked for a total of 10 people. Great location, excellent hosts and nice equipment/furnishings in the apartments. Laundry facilities were nice as well.

I loved the location because it was so close to Pile Gate...There are many many stairs in Dubrovnik..This eliminated that whole issue. You did have to take your luggage (in my case just one flight...) to the apartment but very manageable.

Location itself was great, however the unit description of second floor was deceiving. Apparently ground floor doesn’t count then up two floors then the apartment itself is up another floor so that is 4 flights of stairs…. For 60 + year olds that’s a lot of stairs. Shower had a huge leak on the shower head that should be fixed but climate control was great, as was the room, just would not book again as those stairs were too much for us with luggage! Close to the Pile gate and the main drag. Neighborhood was very safe!

This was a perfect location in Old Town Dubrovnik, very close to the Pile Gate. We were surprised at what a large apartment this was, it was very comfortable. We enjoyed touring the city and coming back to the apartment mid-day when the crowds and heat were the worst - which is why we stayed in the Old Town. The owner let us keep our bags in the lobby all day when we checked out, which we appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay here.

R&C Apartment is a great place in Old Town. The location cannot be beat. Just steps from the Pile Gate and right off of the Stradun (which was important because I had a disability when we visited. The apartment is very well furnished and modern. It has many nice touches and the kitchen was fully equipped. The owners even left us some things to get started. Speaking of, the owners were very easy to communicate with and answered a number of our questions... Great. I would return and recommend this place to my friends.

The host, Mr. Vedran, was truly wonderful. He was extremely helpful in all of the requests we had, be it of personal or business nature. The apartment is beautiful and very clean. It is equipped with everything you might need for everyday life, such as an iron, hairdryer, a lot of cutlery. Also, it is very close to the Pile gate and the entrance to the Old Town of Dubrovnik.

We very much enjoyed our stay and loved the location in a quiet corner of the old city. The Pile Gate is the closest for drop-off—be forewarned that there are many steps to get up to the street where the apartment is located. Check-in was seamless and the host was very responsive.

The location is perfect for visiting Dubrovnik. Right next to Pile gate, but so peaceful in the garden beyond the city which is very busy. Tina and her colleagues were fabulous, friendly, giving great recommendations but also giving you peace to relax. The rooms are lovely, really comfortable beds with great quality bed linen. Well equipped, spotlessly clean, with fab air con. A gem of a hotel and definitely will return.

As with everywhere in old town, there are tons of steps, but the view from the apartment is gorgeous. Eating meals on the patio was wonderful. The location is closet Old Town and the beach. I'm not gonna lie - getting to the apartment was hard - but through no fault of the host. The directions given were good, but the airport shuttle dropped us off at a different location than expected (not Pile gate). If we go back to Dubrovnik we would definitely stay again.
