Breakfast was excellent- staff was excellent- always helpful
Located in the center of Edinburgh, just a few minutes’ walk from the Royal Mile and 650 yards of The Real Mary King's Close, Market Street forms part of Edinburgh’s historic skyline.

Room was comfortable. Location was excellent, I did not eat at the hotel. The Wi-Fi was poor in my room. The concierge on the first floor entrance was very helpful!
Located on Princes Street, The Balmoral has a 4 AA Rosette restaurant, a pool and a gym. Waverley Station and Edinburgh's main shopping area are within 5 minutes' walk.

Beautiful hotel. The location was excellent. We loved being in the West send, away from the tourist crowds in the Old Town. Excellent breakfast as well

Lovely and amazing that a place of such natural beauty is part of the city! We walked up the back nr Holyrood and down the front along the road. It was extremely windy on the top, and we made the decision not to venture beyond the rock we were sheltering behind, be very aware that conditions at the top are different to the bottom and keep a good lookout for weather coming across. The next day the top was shrouded in low cloud. It was an easy enough walk wearing trainers with a little scramble on the last few metres of rock. There were lots of runners up there too.

Steep climb and loose stones on paths, but amazing views of the whole city, surroundings, Firth of Forth... If you don't want to climb to the top you can always settle for a more comfortable stroll around this fabulous gem of a mountain! The road goes all the way around, and provides lovely views too.

Spacious with good kitchen facilities. Great location near to Arthur’s Seat and a short walk to the Royal Mile. Comfortable and cosy. Responsive staff. Would definitely recommend, particularly for the Fringe as the distance from town was perfect :)
The location (proximity to Arthur’s seat), the greenery space around the hotel, the whiskey rooms (afternoon tea rooms), the peacock and the highland cows.
The staff were professional but some were not too friendly.
Prime location, a few steps away from the Royal Mile and Cowgate. The place itself is squeaky clean, very well decorated, has all the appliances and comfort you’d want. Set in a very calm apartment complex as well, with a nice view upon Arthur’s Seat out the back. A pleasant stay, highly recommend!
The apartment location is wonderfully located with cozy coffee shops located down the road. There is also a Sainsbury and costa near by and a lovely view of Arthur’s seat.
Lovely, spacious, and centrally located! Perfect location. Walking distance with 2 kids from the train station. Kitchen and living room wonderful for a family! Loved the jacuzzi tub after our hike to Arthur’s Seat!
We were pleased at the location to bus stops and the cleanliness and the real cups and saucers for in room hot beverages. For the price and location, it was just lovely. We got up early and walked the quiet streets behind the guest house. The gardens were so beautiful! We even walked to the base of Arthur’s seat.
