The location of the hotel was great. Close access to the Metro (Blanche), bistros, patisseries, farmacies and shops. The hotel is off a main street so I thought it was very quiet at night. The hotel offers complimentary nespresso espresso in the lobby. The staff were very friendly.

David at the front desk was very helpful in helping to resolve problems with our reservation and the condition of our room. While we never did receive the a room in the category we booked, ending up with a classic rather than superior room, the change of accommodation was a significant improvement and very much appreciated. Rooms are rather small, but this is our third trip to Paris this year and each of the hotels we stayed in have had rooms on the "cozy" side. Breakfast was typical, but fresh and well-presented, and the staff was pleasant.

This church is absolutely beautiful.
This church is absolutely beautiful. Depending on the direction you are coming from, you can take stairs or you can take a lift up the hill. There are plenty of stairs so look for the lift if the stairs will be a challenge. Leave time to explore Montmarte and if you are with your significant other, definitely visit the wall of love!

Alongside approximatley 2.673 Million other tourists, my wife and I ascended the cobbled streets to Sacre Coeur to watch the sunset over Paris.
When we got there it was full of traders selling toot to tourists, and people jostling to get a picture for 'The Gram'.
Unsure if this is the same in the daytime however...

Get there early if you can. Nice and quiet in and around the church. Avoid engaging with random people who try to strike up a conversation and ask you to read and sign forms. They’re intentions may not be good. Beautiful views of Paris and a typical Parisian experience walking around Montmartre eating crepes and grabbing a souvenir.

So beautiful! Went in the morning before the crowds got there. The whole area of Montmartre is really nice. Outdoors, a man was playing beautiful acoustic guitar. The whole family--teens, parents, and grandparents--enjoyed this visit.

It was so packed we didn't even go inside.
It was so packed we didn't even go inside. There were illegal vendors selling trinkets on blankets and when the cops came they scooped up the four corners with the loot inside, and ran. Also, don't buy water from the guys there. It's not safe. Bring your own water bottles and refill at one of the many excellent water stations around the city. Everything is super expensive at the cafes and shops in Montmartre, even by Paris standards! The saving grace is that it is near the Salvador Dali museum. A cool and quiet gem!
