The Twelve Oaks Bed & Breakfast is an antebellum mansion in Covington, Georgia just 7 minutes' walk from historic Covington Square. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The staff has a lot of knowledge of the history of the estate so it was very interesting to talk to them. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the rooms really feel like you’ve stepped in the 30’s

The Comfort Inn Blackshear Hwy 84 hotel is located in the historic downtown area. The hotel is located right on the central street of Blackshear and yet is very quiet and peaceful. The staff was always helpful and very friendly. Check in was very quick. You can even get dollars changed into quarters to use the washing machine1$ for detergent, 1.25$ for the washing machine. The breakfast room was large, clean and pleasant. Breakfast was great. The hotel room ( king size room) was large and clean. Perfect base location to explore the Okefenokee swamps. We would definitely come back again.

The Sparrow Grove Manor is a lovely place with 4 suite in Monroe, Georgia, about halfway between Atlanta and Athens. It‘s a nicely renovated old house, having preserved its original Southern charme. Our room was spacious with an adjacent bathroom, all very clean. All access information is provided online and access is by an entrance key. However, communication with the owner was easy and answers were provided very quickly. We’d like to come back!

The room was cozy (two adults one child). The rooms are in small houses and have a porch and parking space directly a the door. There was quiet in wall air-conditioner, and a small kitchenette with a microwave and some dishes and a fridge. The owner was very friendly and told us lots about the area. He has obviously put lots of effort into the grounds which are very quaint and clean. I can highly recommend this place
