The Yard Hostel is centrally located in Helsinki, just a 5-minute walk from Helsinki Central Station. This hostel offers dormitory rooms as well as private rooms. Free WiFi is available. This hostel feels like a boutique hotel, it's small but very tastefully decorated, with a big lounge area and open kitchen. Bathroom and shower are separated, both very clean. Room and bed are spacious with big windows, curtains on bed to ensure plenty of privacy, there is actually a mini shelve, lamp and mirror inside of your bed cubical which comes very handy if you don't want to do your makeup in the public area. The location is superb, right in the center of everything and central station is just 5 minutes walk away.

This is a well organised and run hostel we stayed at. We loved the small details such as tourist info and a box of feminine hygiene products left over in the lobby. It was great we could leave our luggage when we arrived super early and we were able to use the facilities. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was handy having a sink in the room to brush our teeth as well as a fridge. There was no wait to use the bathroom and shower each day. The kitchen is very well organised and labelled for use. 5min walk to the Esplanade and Quay where all the tour boats operate. Close to the food market too!

Set a 10-minute drive from central Turku in connection with Linnasmäki college, Hostel Linnasmäki offers free parking and rooms with a work desk and free Wi-Fi access. Turku Art Museum is 4 km away. The check-in process was very simple, there is a reception shared with the hotel. Every room has a booklet explaining all the features of the stay: the laundry, the kitchen, the gym, the wifi, the restaurant and so on. The room was very spacious offering two desks with chairs and two single beds and even a private bathroom. Everything was very clean. The view from my window was very nice, with green trees. The common kitchen and living room are spacious and have a lot of light. It was possible to cook there and use the fridge. I would totally recommend this hostel, not only for solo travelers and friends, but also for families. I had the impression that the is a lot to do in the nature in the surrounds of the hotel. For more "city-oriented" tourists there were buses to the city center not too far from the property.

Located on Helsinki’s Katajanokka island, surrounded by the sea, this hostel is a 5-minute tram ride from the city centre. Vyökatu Tram Stop is just around the corner. All professionally organized, you could even buy train tickets in the counter
