Mash Cafe & Bed NAGANO has a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Nagano. Located around 1.8 km from Zenkoji Temple, the hostel with free WiFi is also 13 km away from Suzaka City Zoo. The property is non-smoking and is set 1.3 km from Nagano Station.

Very modern looking hostel. The hostel room is huge and spacious. But the walls doesnt absorb the sound well so i feel like any noise made, is really loud. The lounge space at first floor is good for working since there’s plug and wifi. But you cant eat ur own food at the lounge space during the cafe opening hours. Yet, the dining room at third floor is really tiny, it could fit maybe three people comfortably?

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

The service is next level. We hadn't had such a warm welcome at a hostel for a while. The hot cups of tea and free snacks and scones made us feel so comfortable after a long travel day. The staff are so friendly and fun. The hostel is an old-style japanese inn so you can expect paper walls and same for the bathroom. You feel at home here and it's close to the temple and a cheap 100yr old bathhouse. A good place to connect with other travelers too

Sweet sweet people! True backpackers vibes in that cosy hostel. I felt at home there, even though my stay in Nagano was short. If you’re backpacking the region, book there without hesitation.

The location, 5 min walk from the Nagano station, was ideal to us. Nagano is a really small city, so you are at a quick stroll from everywhere. Another good point is that the hostel offers free of charge soft drinks and coffee from 4PM to 10 AM. The facilities were clean and in good shape, the bunk beds were confortable and with privacy.
