Great place to stay. 15 minute walk from downtown area. Everyone was super friendly and breakfast was the best.

The owner was extremely nice and helpful and always cheerful and accommodating. The city center is a 7-10 min walk but there are convenient stores on the street and a Peruvian restaurant right around the block that served good food for the price in comparison to city center. There is a community kitchen where you can prepare your own food, tea or coffee. The wifi worked well as did the hot water. during the winter there is no central heat (normal throughout the town) so a space heater and blankets will be what keeps you warm.

Love it. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and smelled so good. Very friendly owner and staff. If we had to leave early for the tours they would leave the breakfast in paper bags for us. They have available hot water in a thermos all day for coffee or tea. Also spring water available so we didn't have to buy more bottles of water. About 10 minutes from caracoles.. Tony, the owner let us leave the luggage in the storage room after the check out so we could spend some more time in Caracoles. I would definitely stay there again.

If you are planing a trip to san pedro de atacama this palce is highly recommended! Right in the center and close to everthing. The staff are realy kind and helpfull. The rooms are great, i stayed in a 4 bed doorm- the beds are comfy, you have shelves for your things and lockers. The kitchen is well equipped and you have place to store your food. It has hammocks to chill and outdoor furniture to relax after your daily tours. And for me the most importent thing in a hotel or hostel- its very very clean!!! If youll miss breakfast cos you have an early tour- they will prepare you a take away bag with- sandwich, cereal bar, yogurt and juice box.

Elvira the caretaker lady is amazing. It's got a full kitchen for cooking your own meals. Thr location is just outside the town and we prefer it that way, it's quiet and take only less than 10 minutes to walk from mid of town. Sometimes, cute cats from the neighbourhood will come and visit.

I loved the vibe of the hostel, the interior design and colors. The hostel has a hippie family vibe which was amazing It's very clean, plus they do the beds every day. It's a 5min walk to the main street in town The mattress was really comfortable (dorm) We had warm nights (early April) so the room temp was perfect The kitchen was amazing, fully equipped with an amazing view I stayed for 5 days but easily could have stayed more!

That was the best choice in my life. Rodriguo is super friendly, helpful and trustworth man! His every advise is like the tips&trics from your best friend. Before I came to campo base he has contacted me without asking and left with the most important informations about how to get here and how to get a chilian pesos. All excursions recomended by Rodriguo was worth to visit, especially Bolivia trip. Breakfests are super nice! Fresh egg or omlets, Fresh fruits are the only part of that dish. Its very clean and atmosphere is super nice. Thank you for staying in Campo Base. That was real pleasure!

I stayed in a 4-person dorm and I absolutely loved they put a little curtain in between two parts of the room with bunk beds. This way you really felt more like staying in a 2 people dorm. Also the lights were assigned not only to each bed but also to each part of the dorm which is amazing because most tours in San Pedro start super early in the morning and this way the person leaving for a trip was not waking up everyone :) Each bed had a little shelf and a power socket. Beds were super comfortable and communal space really great! Also the hostel owner and the hostal manager were super kind and helpful people! Breakfast was super great (you could even get fresh pankakes) and if you were leaving for a tour before breakfast hours they were preparing for you a little snack box! Highly recommended!
