Loved the morning walk in the pristine surroundings. Old trees, rhododendrons, fields with grazing thoroughbreds. Very homeish feeling. Spacious rooms and real Irish breakfast (perfect fuel for the day’s hike). Wonderful staff, when you need something, otherwise we actually had the place for ourselves which was great. We bought our own drinks and food and could use the facilities in the kitchen and dining room. Don’t miss this gem❣️

Situated in Skibbereen, in a historic building, 8.4 km from St Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen, Stone Barn is a recently renovated guest house with a garden and terrace. We stayed only one night but we had a great experience at Stone Barn. Karin was a great host who gave us a warm welcome. Our room had everything we needed and the bathroom was very spacious and very clean. Soft towels and also bathrobes were present. Best of all was the breakfast, we could choose from a whole menu and everything was freshly made by Karin's husband Stuart. It was excellent, we ate as much as we could. Would definitely stay there again when given the chance.

Our room was beautifully laid out and spacious, every little detail had been thought of and the shower was great. Breakfast was very generous with fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt and 3 options of delicious cooked breakfasts on offer. Maeve the lovely host couldn't have been more kind and helpful, on one morning we had to leave early and she offered to make us breakfast to take with us. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this lovely place to stay in Kinsale.
