This is not ordinary accommodation. It’s a truly local experience with a local family. They welcomed us with a smile and they let us feel like part of the family. Facilities are basic but there are all the essentials: WiFi working well, comfy bed, (we had a private) bathroom with running water on toilet and a (cold) shower, a tasty meal prepared by the family. They speak good English and even the daughters do! The location is a bit outside the centre of the town and on a hill, but we liked walking around cheered by locals to watch the village life going on. We would definitely go back again. Mentos is a great attentive host, room is clean and comfortable, breakfast is delicious with lot of fruit. Mentos helped to organize boat trip for us to 17 Island National Park, everything went smooth and there are many beautiful corals and fish to see, fresh fish roasted on fire for lunch during the day trip is included.

Beautiful property located not far from Labuan bajo. Well worth having dinner there one night. Melo cafe is also close by and does nice food (but be prepared for a hard walk uphill to reach it unless you have a motorbike). Overall we had a lovely stay.

Our host Jeff and his family were very welcoming, accommodating our very large and noisy family with an extra bed in our bedroom. His morning rice field walks are a legend and he takes amazing photos.

The homestay is located in the center with many food shops and everything you need around. Ricardo and his family are amazing, very kind and welcoming. It was a great experience to stay with and talk to the whole family including their children. I could also enjoy a nice breakfast before I left. You can also do tours with Ricardo or rent a scooter. La Geiro Villa Labuan Bajo in Labuan Bajo biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de bergen, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. Er is gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Great place to stay if you want to get a little bit out of town. The property was very clean and brand new mattress and pillows. Great shower pressure. They have scooters on the property to rent at a good price. Very friendly staff.

ORA KOMODO HOME STAY bevindt zich in Komodo, op 1,9 km van Pink Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een barbecue. Easily one of the most rich experiences we have had on our travels. We enjoyed spending time with jecky’s family, eating delicious home cooked meals, seeing Komodos (of which there are many behind the village), trekking in the national park, swimming with mantas, hiking Padar…the list goes on! Even just sitting on the balcony and watching the fishing boats or the resident dugong play with a sea turtle is a great way to pass the time. Jecky is a great host and has great English. You can arrange/discuss all your travels and activities with him via WhatsApp prior. And his wife is a great cook! This is a unique opportunity you will be lucky to have. It’s a homestay (not some bland hotel experience) so come ready for adventure.
