Located in Ruteng in the East Nusa Tenggara region, Karleta Homestay features a patio. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. This is not ordinary accommodation. It’s a truly local experience with a local family. They welcomed us with a smile and they let us feel like part of the family. Facilities are basic but there are all the essentials: WiFi working well, comfy bed, (we had a private) bathroom with running water on toilet and a (cold) shower, a tasty meal prepared by the family. They speak good English and even the daughters do! The location is a bit outside the centre of the town and on a hill, but we liked walking around cheered by locals to watch the village life going on. We would definitely go back again. Mentos is a great attentive host, room is clean and comfortable, breakfast is delicious with lot of fruit. Mentos helped to organize boat trip for us to 17 Island National Park, everything went smooth and there are many beautiful corals and fish to see, fresh fish roasted on fire for lunch during the day trip is included.

The property is in a small fishermen village and provides for all the needs that make a comfortable stay. Paul, the owner, is very attentive and dedicated to ensure guests are having an enjoyable stay. We arrived late and he still managed to find us a captain for the boat ride the next morning.

A recently renovated homestay located in Labuan Bajo, Sten Lodge eco Homestay features a garden. There is a private entrance at the homestay for the convenience of those who stay. Beautiful property located not far from Labuan bajo. Well worth having dinner there one night. Melo cafe is also close by and does nice food (but be prepared for a hard walk uphill to reach it unless you have a motorbike). Overall we had a lovely stay.

Sun Rice Homestay is a recently renovated homestay in Ruteng, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. The view is to die for. Our host Jeff and his family were very welcoming, accommodating our very large and noisy family with an extra bed in our bedroom. His morning rice field walks are a legend and he takes amazing photos.

Boasting a bar and views of city, Escape Bajo is a recently renovated guest house situated in Labuan Bajo, 500 metres from Wae Rana Beach. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Escape Bajo; it offers excellent value. The view from our room was breathtaking. The staff were extremely helpful, and the food was delicious, complete with a welcome drink and a delightful breakfast. The coffee was exceptional—the best I've ever tasted, likely made from special beans. We intended to book another stay after our boat trip, but it was fully booked.

The homestay is located in the center with many food shops and everything you need around. Ricardo and his family are amazing, very kind and welcoming. It was a great experience to stay with and talk to the whole family including their children. I could also enjoy a nice breakfast before I left. You can also do tours with Ricardo or rent a scooter. I can only recommend staying here. Thank you :)

La Geiro Villa Labuan Bajo is a recently renovated homestay in Labuan Bajo, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. Great place to stay if you want to get a little bit out of town. The property was very clean and brand new mattress and pillows. Great shower pressure. They have scooters on the property to rent at a good price. Very friendly staff.

Featuring barbecue facilities, shared lounge and views of sea, ORA KOMODO HOME STAY is situated in Komodo, 1.9 km from Pink Beach. Amazing experience. The place is basic, bed and rudimentary bathroom, but the location, the host and the activities made our days here the best part of our trip!! And his wife makes delicious meals too :) I have no words to describe everything we experienced here but I will try… If you can’t travel with the local boat, for an extra price, Jeki (the host and guide) can come pick you up and drop you off. Also for an extra, he will take you on an amazing day of activities. Worth it!!! We started by going to Padar Island which had tourists but was beautiful. The rest of the trip we were alone. Jeki spotted manta fish and we swan with 17 of them!! Pink beach and Makassar point also stunning and had them all for ourselves. Finally we went to look for komodos. We say eight of them right behind the village! Since we had time we also walked around the village and got to meet families and play football with the boys. We would have stayed for days!!
