Everything – a modern and clean villa, cute dogs, delicious breakfast. But first and foremost, the hosts – they were incredibly kind and helpful (even though there was a bit of a language barrier between us), borrowing us a quad, driving us back to Essaouira, etc.

Our reservation was with Riad Dar Nor; however, due to some renovations, the Riad relocated us to hotel Dar Zayna which was just around the corner. This review is for Dar Zayna.
Check-in was extremely straightforward. Our contact from Riad Dar Nor was here to meet us and facilitate the move. They allowed us to check in early which was very helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bed is large and comfortable. The location is very central - a 6 minute walk from the bus station and <5min from the Medina. The staff are warm and welcoming.

The staff was absolutely incredible. I felt like a valued guest at this Riad, as a solo traveler I appreciated this because I didn't really feel "alone" in Essaouira. Amine was helpful with any question or request I had and made me feel so at home during my short stay here.

Louis, the manager is great host and we loved our stay at Blue Kaouki. We left one of our bags in a taxi we took there and Louis went above and beyond to help us recover it. He also gave me a lift into town one day and gave me 30% discount on my room I booked on the day I arrived.
