Baan Thara Guest House is a Krabi hidden gem. The staff are amazing and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and welcome. They will give you advice about places to go, and help you get cheaper deals on tours, bookings, and all sorts. WIFI is free, breakfast is included and coffee is available 24/7. But what we truly loved about Baan Thara, was how genuinely kind they are. They truly wanted us to have the best time and did whatever they could to make sure of it. We were traveling as a family with a small toddler and the way they treated him was amazing, we couldn't have felt more comfortable. Baan Thara Guest House is also located closer to Nopparat Thara Beach than to Ao Nang. Nopparat Thara includes the Ao Nang night markets, a ton of separate shop fronts, the Muay Thai boxing arena, lots of cannabis if that's what you are looking for, and in our opinion, a better-looking and more enjoyable beach. There are only boats up one end of the beach, and on the other end is a beautiful little cove where people snorkel and you can watch the boats come in and out from the pier. It's also way less crowded and there aren't tourists drinking. All the locals come down for dinner (which was a sign for us) and sit by Nopparat Thara and watch the incredible sunsets and most stay quite late. The beach is only a short walk from Baan Thara which is especially good if you are working with a small budget and don't have transportation (scooter or taxis). We absolutely loved our stay with Baan Thara Guest House and would highly recommend anyone who is planning to stay in the Ao Nang area to also stay here, we will absolutely be booking here again when we travel back to Krabi. All was great! Beautiful spot mid island, nice clean huts and easy to get to everywhere. Red and his wife are nice hosts, make your stay very enjoyable.

The style was really cool. Also Mr. Yim has good offers for trips and scooters. Overall, it was clean and we felt really welcomed.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Lanta Happy House and wish to thank Nen, the proprietor, and his family for the warm welcome. Nen was always available to provide advice, rent us a scooter, drive us in his 3-wheel Tuk-tuk, organize a fishing excursion, a 4-island group excursion and the speedboat journey from Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe and so much more. The room was large and very clean and comfortable. The property has only 3 contiguous rooms on one side and two bungalows on the other side. There are two nice sheltered sitting areas. A great restaurant (Ann's Easy Food) at the bottom of the street (a must for travelers - the food is very good). Nen did everything he could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location is an 8-minute walk to the main road and 12 minutes to Khlong Kong beach. No problem at all for anyone who enjoys walking. Many restaurants and shops on the Main Street and on the beach. After 2 days of our 7-day stay, we rented a scooter from Nen and drove all over the west side of the island. We highly recommend Lanta Happy House to travelers visiting Koh Lanta.

Excellent value for money! Beautiful rooms and balcony, good air-conditioning, big fridge and kettle. Very clean rooms and common areas. Owners/staff is very welcoming and friendly. Location is good, near town center (about 20min. by foot), very near is 7/11 and Lotus supermarket, restaurants also. Not a touristy area, you are staying where the locals are! We also rented a scooter via them, it was very smooth operation. We extended our stay and will recommend Baan Bida to our friends and family!
