This was one of the more interesting places we stayed at during our ten day road trip. First ... there was no one at the hotel to check us in! The hotel is located in a residential district, and fortunately for us, a neighbor came by, and called the manager (who was away doing something else) who then relayed an access code to us by which we were able to unlock a key box and obtain our room key/card. There was no one at the hotel except us. (some others checked in later that night) but at no time did we see any staff that evening. There is no restaurant at the hotel, so we had to check around the neighborhood to fine a place to have dinner (there are many fine places to eat within a very short drive) None of this was a problem, it's just the first time we had experienced this. The next morning staff were on hand, and they served up a magnificent breakfast buffet. Our room as very comfortable. We had great parking. Be aware that you are near the airport in Munich so the sound of airplanes might be bothersome to some people. We did not find that to be the case. I do recommend this place highly.

The Historik Hotel Gotisches Haus garni is a restored 13th-century building, with a romantic, historic atmosphere and charming rooms, full of character. All rooms feature antique marble bathrooms with corner bathtubs for 2 people, and views over the medieval town. Loved the old historic building. Was beautifully decorated and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend. Great location, with parking available close by.
