Palacio de los Duques Gran Meliá - The Leading Hotels of the World is located 300 metres from Madrid's Royal Palace, the Royal Theatre and the Cathedral. It features a seasonal rooftop pool and a terrace with city views. Breakfast was amazing, room extremely comfortable i would say one of the most comfortable beds i have slept in at a hotel. Location was central walking distance from many of the sites and shopping close by. Great restaurants surrounding. Hotel restaurants were also very good.

Location and staff was great - family rooms nice and functional BUT no AC! How can it be in a 4 star hotel in Madrid - no AC and we suffered during a warm March weekend - how will it be in the summer? Breakfast is amazing and the team - 5star service - very kids friendly
All Holiday Inn Express in Spain are almost the same. With a sofa bed open, the room is just nice for a family of 4 (with 2 small children). Bed was comfortable and toilet was sizable. Shower water pressure was good. Breakfast with varieties of selections. Free car park is what we wanted.
Great location with small children, the Retiro Park is in front of the hotel. The family room is spacious and quiet, the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is awesome, they offer everything and there are gluten free, dairy free , even vegan options, although we eat everything I just could not miss to realize it. The staff is friendly and absolutely is willing to help when is needed. Next time in Madrid we will return here.
We stayed here because we drove to Madrid. The vehicle emissions zone means we had to stay outside the M30 ring road ... this hotel is as close to the as it is possible to be to the M30, without crossing into the emission restriction zone. It is also the best hotel we could find, with parking, on the outside edge of the zone. Parking was very easy .... and secure (underground). Hotel was clean and functional. It appeared to be setup for families (there were a lot of children there). Best of all, it was also dog friendly (we took our dog)
Very comfortable bed, we traveled with our 6 month old baby and hotel provided a crib and some infant toiletries for free. The staff at the reception was very friendly and quick. The temperature and air conditioning was perfect and in those hot days comfortable. We ate at the restaurant and the food was good, also the breakfast was fine.

The apartment worked fine for our family with 2 children - parents used the bedroom with large double bed, the teenager the smaller bedroom and the schoolboy slept on the sofa in the living room. We were there in April, so used neither the heating nor the air conditioning. There is a lovely park when going to Latina underground station. The park has a small hill providing excellent views to the city. A Mercadona grocery store is just 5-minute walk and it offers huge selection of foods.
