The room was lovely - nicer and bigger compared to similar properties where we stayed in Japan. The location was very central, making it convenient to visit tourist attractions and there was also good sound-proofing. The laundry facilities were good too.

Hyatt Place Kyoto features a restaurant, fitness centre, a bar and shared lounge in Kyoto. Japanese hospitality! Need to say more? Extremely clean and well organized. The location is more like a quiet area, not too many shops/restaurants/bars nearby. But if you are willing to walk 15 minutes, you can find more. The hotel entrance is sitting at the subway exit (6), so it's very convenient to access (well maybe expect when you need to carry your luggage up the subway stairs). The staff are nice, helpful and accommodating. Kudos for the modern coin laundry on-site.
