Set in the heart of Florence, 2 minutes' walk from Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Hotel Spadai is housed in a historic building next to the Palazzo Medici Riccardi. Great location. Spotlessly clean and fabulous staff. We had the room immediately above the entrance and it was great to watch the world go by but then, windows closed, and silence! Highly recommended.

The Brunelleschi Hotel is set in a restored Byzantine tower and Medieval Church overlooking Florence Cathedral. Its elegant rooms come with parquet floors and a 42-inch LCD TV. The staff was exceptional and attentive. They handled the food expertly, especially in this COVID-19 environment. They gave great recommendations for restaurants and assisted with sights.

Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo Residenza D'Epoca is right next to the Duomo Cathedral in Florence. It offers air-conditioned accommodation and a buffet breakfast. The room was big, with views on the cathedral from all windows; bed was very comfortable; bathroom clean; furniture as you would expect in a palace, authentic and beautiful; lady at the reception was very helpful and professional. I would definitely come back.

Palazzo Vecchietti, a 16th-century building designed by Giambologna and owned by one of the most important families in medieval Florence now houses exclusive suites. It felt like we were staying in a home not a hotel but with all the services although there was no room service aside from a fabulous breakfast but we had a kitchen that we prepared our meals The location is the best right in the middle of florence two minutes from the duomo and luxury shopping boutiques at the door of the hotel
