The ladies at the front desk were helpful. This facility is very tired and has been repaired where needy in a quick and shoddy way. It is not an appealing place to stay. We found it noisy during the night with "workmen" or an "athletic team" going up and down the stairs carrying heavy loads and talking loudly.

We didn't visit sites due to the circumstances of our visit, and the storm which passed over with thundersnow, snow and
cold temperatures on Saturday. However the view of the mountains from the window in the room was wonderful.

There's a lot to offer in Colorado Springs, but it may not be all within walking distance so plan to have a vehicle or access to a car share service if you want to get to the downtown area, or hiking from certain areas.

We went to Colorado Springs because it is the base point for all of the close by attractions. We went to the Garden of the gods, multiple times, drove up to Pikes peak, saw the Indian cliff dwellings.
We stayed at the Garden of the Gods resort, the resort was awesome.

The location was in close proximity to many of the activities/attractions that Colorado Springs has to offer. The house was clean and airy upon arrival. The floor plan in the kitchen and living room area is great for down time together with family and friends. Also, a side note...the bedroom on the lower level seemed to be at a much cooler temperature than bedrooms on the main floor. If you have a couple who like it cooler, the downstairs bedroom would be the best choice for them.
This is a great motel if you are looking to be budget minded and get the best bang for your buck. Not the best part of town but didn't feel unsafe. The gentleman who manages(owns?) the place is such a gracious host. He gives you a breakfast bag with lots of goodies and fresh fruit. The rooms are comfortable with a great view of Pikes Peak. Located close to the downtown area, old Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. Lots of attractions in the area (Garden of the Gods is best).
Thanks, Merissa for sharing your tiny Colorado Springs House!
it looks so nice, as if it it comes out of the 'fixer upper' series :-)
We we were abosolutly positive surprised how calm and safe the East Cucarra Street is! And direct in front of the house is a street lantern, so it is bright and safe in the night :-)
The House is bigger than described: I estimate the bigger Sleeproom 16m², the smaller 12m², the kitchen 15m², the living room 14m² and the bath 5m²
It was very clean. It’s loaded with most things you need, such as washer/dryer, mini fridge/freezer, microwave, and a mini kitchen bar with a hot plate and any other kitchen supply you could want. We also both really liked the bathroom, especially the beautiful shower and large shower head. The whole apartment is simple, yet very comfortable and elegant! Cheaper than most hotels, much quieter, and definitely worth it for the price!
I booked this hotel for a romantic ending to a fun bday get away with my guy. The restaurant was closed… the spa was not operating for several months which I did not receive any of this info when booking. Huge disappoint and pointless. We traveled out of our way to this facility from our other outdoor activities and plans just to be disappointed
We have stayed at this hotel twice while on a road trip. The staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities excellent with a very good breakfast. We liked the central, downtown location as we able to enjoy walking to the local restaurants. Instead of using the hotel’s valet service we used the car park opposite the hotel for $10 a night.
The hot tub was great, our room was quite clean, ect. This hotel checked off all the basics of being a good standard hotel, it's not a crazy 5 star resort, but that's not what your looking for when you book here. I my opinion this hotel did everything it should and did it to the best of it's abilities.
The bed was comfortable and the room was good. But at times the toilet was not cleaned so well like last time when I stayed. The breakfast was good, but it will be nice if the hotel does serve porridge. The coffee needs to improve the taste, it's quite light and not so good quality.
This is a stylish, basic hotel. Emphasis on minimalism—minimal service, minimal comfort, basic value, and no housekeeping service, plus late check in at 4pm, early check out by 10am. It’s like IKEA for lodging. It looks good and is cheap but requires a lot of DIY.
This is one of my favorite hotels when traveling to Colorado Springs. The breakfast is hot and decent. The happy hours are always a bonus and usually the reason we choose this hotel. The staff is always very nice and helpful.
I give this top marks for quirkiness and friendly staff. We stayed here to enjoy the area so we only used the room for sleeping. It is not a luxury hotel, but I really liked the historic atmosphere.
This wasn't our first choice. We came across the property by calling. We had not made reservations at any hotel in Colorado Springs. We were happy to find availability here.
Had to cancel and change to another hotel because the pool was out of order due to construction. Had kiddos looking forward to the pool. It was very inconvenient.
