When I arrived at this property, it was under construction and the owner has a second hotel in which I stayed.
Welcome therefore was a bit disjointed, but at the new hotel I stayed at which was 600 m away. The staff are friendly.
The hotel was well equipped with nice rooms, and a great ambience the food was good and served in a buffet style.
I’ve given them a rating of eight overall, because of the obvious need to relocate because of the construction works that were taking place. However the hotel I stayed in I will give it 10 to.

The auberge is kind of wonderful hideaway. Very quiet, with simple, but very clean and cute rooms.
The food was amazing ( ate my best Tajine of our whole marrocan trip, breakfast delicous and rich). The two guys who run the auberge do an excellent cooking.
Also booked a private tour to the desert, which for me turned out to be perfekt: away from the big camps, alone under a quiet sahara sky and my guide Mohamed played the guitar after a tasty meal at the camp fire... Although we couldn't quite communicate in a common language we had a funny time.
After sunrise I sat there all alone at the highest dune to listen to the silence of the desert.
Couldn't have been better.

A busy village with normal Moroccan/Desert life and passing tourists.
Only a few tourists stay overnight. Limited number of restaurants. People are very friendly and welcoming.
The whole village can be walked in 40 minutes. We had food at AZWAD which was nice.
The tourist shops are typical of Morocco but not too pushy.

This small town is the entrance to the Sahara desert, so it’s an advantage for those who come for the trekking or the desert tours. The disadvantage is the sandstorm that hits directly the houses and streets of the town.
Nevertheless the people in the town are cheerful and friendly, they welcome the visitors with lovely smile
The town is rather new to the local people, a few km away from the town, the vast oasis spread in which embraces several Ksars with ancient earth and cray buildings. One can explore those ksars, meet the people in the communities, that is a precious experience apart from the camel rides or trekking in the desert.

M'Hamid is the perfect gateway to the Sahara Desert.
M'Hamid is the perfect gateway to the Sahara Desert. The village exudes a peaceful atmosphere, and the locals are incredibly welcoming. We used M'Hamid as our starting point for an unforgettable desert adventure. The camel trek into the dunes and the night under the starry sky were simply magical. M'Hamid is a hidden gem worth exploring!

Perfect place to start your trip into the Sahara desert.
Perfect place to start your trip into the Sahara desert. We went to the Chegaga dunes, 60 km by 4x4 on dirt tracks. There are several bedouin camps you can book for an unforgettable overnight stay. We booked with Chegaga berber camp. We highly recommend them.
The return trip was 90€ (900 dirham) and well worth it.

Very nice and calm village with simple people.
Very nice and calm village with simple people. Village is big oasis what makes it very beautiful with river Draa, kasbahs and palms. There are many shops, beautiful mosque and the desert around, from where you can start your track.
Mhamid you can look by your feet. But for go to desert better take a camel. You can take 4#4 but this will not give you feeling like you are Bedouin one :-).
We had the best stay in Morocco. Mohsin is the best and friendliest person we met in Morocco, thanks to him we had an unforgettable trip to the desert with lunch, we returned full of impressions. The camp is in a very quiet and beautiful place, beautiful surroundings, we had a parking space right next to our room, which was very convenient. We got a very nice room with a view of the desert and palm trees. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I highly recommend it. Once again, thank you very much Mohsin, we hope to come back again.
We were a family of 7 people and had an amazing stay in the Sbai Palace. My wife and me stayed in a bungalow, which was so romantic!!! The dinner they serverd was just delicious and the ambience during dinner in the hotel garden next to the pool was absolutely fantastic! The friendly hotel team also helped us with unforgettable excursions to the famous Chegaga Dunes and organized a night in a luxury desert camp under 1001 stars. Thanks again for all your great and very professional help, we will definitely come back!
100% the best place to stay in Mhamid. For this amazingly low price you get better service than some of the fancy places in Marrakesh. The team is very kind, the cooking is delicious and the air conditioning much appreciated. But my biggest recommendation is - ask them to organize the trip to the desert and camp for you. Our guide Hamza was truly amazing, thanks to him we got much more than most advertised tours offer for less money. If I were you I would do the full service with the oasis lunch and the camp.
We left Fez in the morning and drove most of the day, entering the desert at sunset. We left the main road in the dark and drove along the road until we arrived at the Camp Desert Trips. This is an oasis in the desert. We spent two nights at the hotel and Said and his people made us feel at home cooking great food and playing music until late. The hotel is located next to the beautiful endless dunes and the tents are comfortable and convenient. We will be back, highly recommended.
Staying two nights with Younas, Hamid and Rasheed was easily the shining highlight of our three week trip to Morocco. These wise, young, generous men couldn’t have done anything more to warm our hearts, enrich our experience or increase our comfort. They went above and beyond in every way, we absolutely adored them, the accommodation and the magic of their dunes, camels, food, etc. Highly recommend - if we ever make it back, we would love to see them and stay with them again!!
We got picked up from Mhamid and driven to the camp. The staff was friendly and tried to make our stay as good as possible. They also helped us book a trip into the desert - very recommendable. Breakfast was amazing, the room beautiful (there are several small houses), and it's just gorgeous to experience sunrise and sunset in the desert, enjoying the remoteness and calmness. As they drove us back to our car in Mhamid, it had a flat tire and they also helped us fixing it.
Really authentic feeling, during the days it gets very hot as you would expect it to be in a desert. You can go for camel ride, quad ride or they can bring you to hotel in the small town where you can use the swimming pools and have cool drinks at the bar. The hosts are very kind and honest people; we didn't expect that after visiting Marrakech.
The camp itself is very beautiful, especially in the evening. Don't expect a 5 star hotel!
In June, we had the most amazing experience. We were first a little hesitant about the booking procedure while we worked through the payment, but it turned out that our initial concerns were unfounded because everything about our trip was excellent. Even with the long journey, our guide was entertaining and kept the mood light. The lodgings were excellent. Overall, it was the ideal way to experience Morocco Desert.
Tent equipped with all the comforts of a hotel room (except for the power socket).
The service is rather comfortable, with the jeep picking you up directly in the parking lot of a Kasbah with which we have an agreement.
Magical nocturnal silence and breathtaking landscapes.
Food served in the evening good, if not exceptional; interesting the music show in front of the fire after dinner!
Very suprisingly beautiful facility outside of the town in the desert. The garden was full of palm trees and with possibility to sit under tent. Rooms for quests are situated in separate building with own entrance to garden. Rooms was really clean, the cleanest we have seen in Morocco. The host has prepared excellent dinner for us and was very pleasant. I definitely recommend it.
So cool & special. Can't thank the staff enough for the hospitality. The tents are amazing, with toilets and showers as if you're in a hotel. The sahara sand dunes / stars / camel ride / ATV / sandboarding was something we'll never forget.
Also such kind Berber locals who host you with music, food, drink, and a fire.
We'd love to come back.
Great location, near the big dunes. The staff is very kind, the food it very, very good, the best tagging in a week travel in Morocco. The camp is great for children, sand boards, games... Ask for the tent with private bathroom if available. Small place with only 7 tents which makes it special.
It was the best day of our stay in morocco. Walking on camels to the camp and seeing the sunset on the dunes is amazing and an unforgettable experience. Afterwards we had the best tajen so far and sat under the stars at a bonfire and listen to our guides playing the drums and singing.
I live in Morocco , I visited many deserts, so I always look for authenticity whenever traveling.
And this is what I found in Larbi’s place. It has been a great experience which will stay in my best memories of Morocco.
Thanks Larbi!
Very friendly hosts guarantee a very authentic stay. The location could probably not be better: it is right next to one of the highest dunes in the desert. A must see in Morocco in my opinion.
