The reception, restaurant and cleaning staff are all genuinely helpful and exceptional. They care about their guests. The breakfast was well prepared, and the staff was constantly monitoring whether you had any additional needs. Staff spoke various languages and engaged with guest but were not intrusive in any way. If you wanted to chat they spent more time with you, if you wanted to eat a quiet breakfast they were also sensitive to that. Do not disturb signs were adhered to and there were no loud noises. Room temperatures were comfortable. Overall a pleasant stay.

Had a wonderful one night stay together with my wife.
1. The room was very clean, bathroom impeccable. Room was not big - not small, it was perfect for the two of us.
2. Breakfast was variable and delicious and there was enough even if though we arrived a little late for breakfast.
3. The location is in very quiet neighbourhood, we slept like babies.
4. The parking was okay, in front of the hotel.
5. Last but surely not least, the staff was EXTREMELY helpful and kind. Always smiling, always ready to help, gave us good tips about the city and restaurants. All the respect for them.
If we go to Nyiregyhaza again in the future, we will definitely choose to stay here.

The hotel has a great location and superb breakfast (on the weekends) because on Monday we were the only guest. Breakfast was still good and plentiful but the buffet style on the weekend was also pleasing to the eye. The room was nice and good size.

Nyiregyhaza is a very nice 100K citizens Hungarian city. It's very clean, you can see that it's been taken good care of. Nice parks, sculptures, a mixture of cultures, great places to hang out or to go out for a portion of great food and drinks. It's also a university city and has a great zoo on the outskirts of the city. I'd say that it's also climatically and geographically situated perfectly well - just 2+hrs from Budapest (by highway), the nearest airport is in Debrecen which is some 80 km from Nyiregyhaza, neighbouring Ukraine and Slovakia (literally an hour's drive to each of the above mentioned), Tisa river is near, lots of water and forests. In general, it seemed to me that people of Nyiregyhaza are very happy with the place where they live in.

An amazing place to visit with family and friends, people...
An amazing place to visit with family and friends, people are kind, attractions are great. Huge outdoor park spa with indoor kiddie pools and other specialty ones. Animal park is huge, has elephants, giraffes, a restaurant, petting zoo and an oceanarium. Lots of fountains all over town, lots of ice cream and the streets are clean in general.

The city center is not very interesting.
The city center is not very interesting. It's classic small Eastern Europe city and 3 hours is enough to see it all. Nyiregyhaza has great thermal spa, thermal lake and zoo, which I think are it's main attractions.

A clean city with some excellent attractions on the out skirts. Highlights included the aqua parks (Decent size, clean with plenty to do), the zoo (Lots of animals, well kept and a good day out), the tree climbing adventure park and the restaurants. The prices are good value for money and the portion sizes for food are very generous.
The City was quiet given the amount of shops, and getting around wasn't a problem. Best learn some Hungarian, as half the places we visited couldn't speak either English or Polish.

Calm city , with some interesting sights. Zoo is one of the most popular one in Europe. Thermal spa in Nyiregyhaza is very popular as well. Salt Lake of Nyiregyhaza (Sosto in Hungarian ) is very nice place.

As first-time visitors, with an eight-year old child, we were pleasantly surprised how safe, calm and clean town it is. Found people to be very kind, smiling and looking one straight in the eye with a sense of small-town curiosity, but not at all offensively - it showed honesty.
We all loved the spacious squares, the abundance of fountains, ample seating, old shade trees. They sell some great artisan ice creams, even in gluten-free cones.
Loved shopping for specialty foods. Check out the crystal shop downtown!
Have a cup of coffee at Szifon Espresso Bar.
the hotel exceeded my expectations. very good staff, welcome drink is total mess, but its similar to 5 star hotels :D
overall hotel has good rooms, very good interior, quite rooms. You can rest and be at home in this hotel.
the bonus is that you have entrance to the zoo (please be informed that you need half day for that) :D

The place is very central to downtown and the bus and train station. I had a room on the top floor which was quite hot. The window did not have a screen and I was worried that a bird could fly in during the day and in the morning. I was told the management would only turn on ac after a certain date? That's understandable but they might want to think about buying stand up fans in that case. 🤔

There are 2 buildings (one for 4star hotel and one is 3star pension, if I understood this correctly) Just for your info.
But both buildings looks beautiful and price is equal for what you'll get.
Breakfast is smaller but offer everything you need and it was delicious ;) I would only add a nuttella and more vegetables :)
The Reception staff is exceptionally professional, kind, and helpful. The hotel is very well located as we wanted to be in Sóstó. It is next door to the spa and the zoo. Breakfast is varied, savory and sweet. I would surely come back to Fürdõház! Thank you for your hospitality!
Everything. In person it looks even better then on Booking.com photos. This place is a gem in the centre of Nyiregyhaza. Minimalistic and a peaceful place worth of visiting in every season. It’s very spacious and clean. The staff are very kind, they were very helpful.
