It is a very nice hotel. We traveled with a dog, there was ample space to walk her. Thanks for sending me a message that a dog room was not available, but you accommodated us. Restaurants were great!

Smithers, BC, exceeded my expectations with its charming atmosphere and excellent skiing options during my 3-day stay. The presence of a good brewery added to the experience, and the friendly locals further enhanced the city's appeal.

Unexpectedly cute and clean little town.
Unexpectedly cute and clean little town. Quite a few modern type establishments. Great little coffee shop in town centre. You have to try Two Sisters for healthy yummy food! The Mexican restaurant by the railway tracks is awesome. It is a mini Jasper or Banff.
The view from my room was world class - rolling hills with a backdrop of glorious, snow-capped mountains. Super peaceful and I am so glad I decided to drive the extra 10-15 mins off the beaten path (and the highway where most of the Smithers hotels are located) to find this hidden gem. Felt like European elegance meets Northern BC rusticity. Delish breakfast as well. If you want a good sleep, some peace and quiet, a beautiful view and a great breakfast, you couldn't do better than the Driftwood Lodge.
Breakfast in the restaurant was sub-standard, but overall the hotel is very nice. The only other drawback is that it is on the highway rather than being right in the lovely town of Smithers, so walking around downtown is not an easy option. We recommend asking for a room on the back side of the building to avoid highway noise. Overall a good place to stay, somewhat on the expensive side - but very modern, clean and comfortable!
The location was a little bit of a problem, but all hotels in Smithers have the same problem. There is no taxi service in Smithers. The owner of the hotel arrange for her husband to take me to the airport on his way to work the next morning. That was going above normal service to a guess.
This lodge was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean and exceptionally comfortable. We only wish we were able to stay more than 1 night, so we could sit on the deck and take in the beautiful scenery. I highly recommend this place to anyone going to or passing through Smithers.
Great price and wonderful staff. Super friendly and helpful. I stay here whenever I'm passing through the Smithers area. Right off the highway and beside Timmies!! Rooms are clean and comfortable with some offering for breakfast; muffins, coffee, cereal, etc.
The breakfast was fresh and delicious (no rehydrated eggs!). The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff were very accommodating and helped us in receiving multiple packages for our work trip prior to our stay. I will be staying here anytime I work in Smithers!
A great perk about this hotel is that it central to walk into the village and very close proximity to main strip and restaurants.
Value was excellent and I wish I had a chance to experience breakfast because they prepare the eggs for you.
Location off the highway was great. Parking in behind hotel is out of sight from highway. Beds were comfortable - better than expected. Room was quiet - we did not hear anyone else.
The room was very spacious and the double sink in the bathroom was convenient for three people. The hotel was easy to find coming in to town and close to the shops, banks, etc.
Nice place to stay, very friendly staff in reception. Good restaurant with an impressive menu for such a small town. The hotel has a basic amenities but it is comfy and clean.
The staff was exceptional and extremely helpful. My stay was relaxing and I will 100% be recommending this hotel to lots of people. It was also very clean. I'm very impressed.
Staff was professional friendly. Answered any questions we had. Courteous. The hotel itself was clean the rooms where nice and clean. When we stayed here was nice and quiet
