We were here for fall train trip and it was nice.
We were here for fall train trip and it was nice. Not needed again though. We went to a different place for every lunch and dinner. We had 2 serving staff that weren’t of a spicy attitude. The other 2 were nice and friendly. The food was fair but nothing that was amazing. I won’t go to the Sault again. Very pretty area though!

We went for fall foliage and were not disappointed- it was gorgeous! Hike Robertson Cliffs! We also did the Agawa Canyon Train and, hmm. We had hoped for a spectacular train ride, and it wasn't. The canyon itself is gorgeous, but you get 1 1/2 hours there which isn't much considering the train ride is 8 hours r/t. Most of the other passengers were elderly though so it seemed about right for the less mobile. We enjoyed the canal site and all the historical markers, but unfortunately went on Sunday and discovered the visitor center is closed on weekends. Huh? The seaplane museum was open and fascinating.

No police in Sault Ste Marie?
No police in Sault Ste Marie? People were drag racing up and down the Main Street in front of hotel all night. Hotel was dated and shabby but clean. For the price it wasn’t good value at all. I’ve paid similar rates at hotels that were well kept and updated. It was clean and staff were nice though.

We drove north of Sault Ste Marie along Lake Superior.
We drove north of Sault Ste Marie along Lake Superior. Absolutely beautiful. We drove up to see the pictographs but I was not able to complete the hike as it was pretty rugged. But my husband did and he got some fabulous photos. Luckily he did not go swimming due to the wet, narrow ledge.

we have returned to this hotel time and time again. We are always greeted by friendly staff, even when we arrive later than expected. The hotel is dog friendly, which is a must for us, and located next to the waterfront trail. It’s close to museums and a local brewery. The hotel is SPOTLESS and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is now being served again and it was a very standard continental breakfast. The breakfast staff was a delight. I will definitely be back!
Did not have breakfast at the hotel but had dinner, the place is just spectacular and close to everything. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everyone at the front desk were very welcoming, actually the whole staff made the journey worthwhile . The spa area was clean and beautiful. I am so glad we chose to stay at this hotel, would do it again,
We drove past the hotel. There was not great signage or lighting. The staff was great, but the room was very cramped, the bathroom door was broken, beds were comfy but no blankets. We had to bring one in from our camping stuff. It advertised breakfast. But it was a “bagged” breakfast. Quite expensive for what we got.
The front desk was very accommodating and kind to there guests. The hotel was very clean as well as my room I stayed in. The breakfast was very small and did not feed enough people each morning and the selection did not satisfy me each morning, there was not much food to choose from.
I was passing through and had an unexpected break down with my car, I was able to check in early and had no problems booking for another night while waiting. Best service in a while and lately I’ve been taking a lot of hotels. Thank you Pine Grove for making my stay comfortable.
Beds were comfortable and staff were friendly.
The hotel is older but seems to be fairly well maintained. The front doors marked Hotel Lobby Entrance are locked and you need to enter through the hotel through the parking garage but here was no sign to direct guests that way.
Special thanks to the staff for the suggestion to park my motorcycle in front of building and "keep an eye" on it overnight and cleaning staff offering a cloth to wipe down motorcycle in the morning. Your hotel was the only one to offer this. Much appreciated !
The room was in pristine condition and was very clean! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good with a waffle maker. The location was convenient for us as we were driving from Toronto to Winnipeg and the hotel was along the Trans Canada Highway.
The hotel location was perfect with everything just a stone throw away. The hotel facilities were good and the staff very friendly .The breakfast was so good and worth mentioning.Overall we enjoyed our 3 nights stay.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Sault Ste Marie (Ontario).
The room was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was better than most similar hotels. Staff were very helpful. Food from the on-site pizza place was very tasty.
Staff was friendly. The location was perfect for our needs. Price was good comparable to other hotels in the same proximity. Lots of parking and easy access.
For my two week travel, I stayed at so many hotels, this one so far is the best. Room is big, super clean, nice engineered wood floor. Nothing to complain.
