There is a Water Park , two family parks , a couple shopping centers and Western Hotel. This Oasis city remains several degrees cooler than surrounding deserts. Not many restaurants suitable for family.

I didn't explore the town, its close enough to travel to Ruwais on business.
Nothing negative. There is a hospital and a Police station. not much in the way of shopping. Car repairs and made to measure car seat upholstery available in 'Sanaya', on the outskirts of town.
Probably not a great holiday destination unless doing safari days in the western region desert.
