Lots of extra effort with homemade muesli, bread, fruit, milk, eggs, jam and cheese. The accommodation was perfect with a fully kitted kitchen, comfortable chairs, and bed along with outdoor furniture so you could sit and look out over the green paddocks with its resident horses. Kilkenny is a beautiful place with its rolling green hills. This little haven has been one of the highlights of our trip.

Quirky house that was clearly loved. Very clean. Mary the host was lovely and so helpful. Very generously left us chocolates, wine and a lovely cake. There were tea bags and a bag of coffee beans! Mary clearly tries to make people’s stays very comfortable. There’s a great big garden and gazebo area, just made for parties. There are 3 properties beside each other. The folly, another large house suitable for a large party and the host’s own house. Mary was really lovely and we didn’t feel that it mattered that she lived so close by. It’s a bit out of town on a small country road. We walked to the Hoban hotel, about 10 minutes. Would be very happy to return there again.

Desart School Garden Chalet, a property with a garden, is set in Kilkenny, 16 km from Kilkenny Castle, 20 km from Mount Juliet Golf Club, as well as 41 km from Carrigleade Golf Course. Everything! Lillie and Dorothy are so friendly and their dogs.... adorable. Literally anything you would need at the chalet was there waiting when we arrived. Including a lovely view of the garden and trees beyond. We've travelled to a lot of hotels, b&bs and holiday chalets, etc. This trumped them all. I wish we could give them a higher score because Lillie really went the extra mile.

Situated 29 km from Kilkenny Railway Station, 35 km from Christ Church Cathedral and 35 km from Reginald's Tower, Deerpark Cottage, Inistioge, Kilkenny features accommodation located in Inistioge. We appreciated having space, 3 separate bedrooms and bathrooms and toys and space for our 2 yr old to play. The view from the upstairs lounge was so peaceful. A very comfortable place to stay. Niamh’s communication is excellent.

Lovely house spotlessly clean Fred was very welcoming and a lovely few goodies left for our use the pub next door was a great spot for a few drinks and to meet people would definitely go back again
