It’s a beautiful property. The 1823 restaurant menu and cuisine are superb. Complements to the chef.
However, housekeeping appears to be cutting corners. My pillow had someone’s grey hairs under it and my sheets had someone else’s hair in them. Management provided new sheets, but Motel 6 has cleaner beds!

Spent one evening at the Straus, a day adventure in Clearwater/Dunedin, Church in Tampa. Enjoyable. Dinner At Bon Appetite in Dunedin on Mother's Day. Delightful weekend. Took a ferry from Clearwater Park to Dunedin. Total of one hour ride on the Gulf for $12.00 per person. Great Value!

Downtown area by riverwalk was excellent. Lots to do. Highly recommend Si-am Thaimerican Restaurant on Franklin St. Best around. Lot's of parking available, just google lots. But rather expensive: $30 for evening we stayed. Lots are all in good locations nearby to the locations we went to.

I would not! The room that we stayed in was Very outdated especially for the price. The hotel had a smell of dog once you entered the lobby and smell on the floor we stayed on was even worse. The tile on celling on the floor that we stayed in was missing. We wanted a none smoking room because we do not smoke and can not stand the smell of it and the room clearly smelled of smoke and the hallway was even worse. The beds was very thin and uncomfortable. To top it off they tell you that the food and drinks are complementary, AND IT IS NOT! They charge a 200 holding fee and it will come out of that. The food was not good we had wings and they were so huge it was unbelievable we did not eat them. I even called and spoke with a gentlemen and he couldn't even explain it. He know its confusing and hard for him to explain. They also charge for daily parking. My sister and her husband stayed just down the street at the Hampton Inn and the overall hotel and especially their room was so much better. Definitely would not stay there again.

I was only there for one night before joining the cruise.
I was only there for one night before joining the cruise. I did walk to the mall, although i stood at the bus stop. I saw a bus coming but then it turned onto another street. Maybe in the future the bus route/and time and fare can be posted. I did purchase some gifts for Mother's day and had lunch in the mall.

Loved Tampa Didn't love the shower tub combo.. If I was old i couldn't have used it. Crawl over the tub to get in. Shower sprayed water all over the floor even if your careful. Slippery floor wet from over spray. Someone is going to brake a hip. I wouldn't want to clean up after a shower. What a mess.

I like to travel with yellow color tram cart . I had two trips. Then i felt so comfortable in walking along the river walk. Tampa University is one of the beautiful sentries in Tampa. Tampa War ship museum is realy interesting.
Breakfast was probably the best aspect of this hotel, as it provided plenty of options. The staff was generally pleasant and friendly, especially one or two of the valets. I wanted a location that was in Downtown and within walking distance of attractions, which this was. I didn't appreciate that Downtown Tampa has very little to offer in the form of urban activities. I'm not faulting the hotel for this, but the location was one of the primary factors, and in hindsight I would choose someplace else.
Excellent location with easy access from downtown, airport and east Tampa area. Very comfortable and pictures shown are true… fun decor and amenities were perfect. Great little cafe around the corner with best Cuban sandwich. Loved being able to have full kitchen available and separate sleeping area. Why stay at a hotel when this property is so much more appealing and a better value.
the general manager and the whole stuff in fact did an excellent job they are very accommodating and hospitable as any hotel should be when you go to visit or stay there as a guest. I like that the property was closed by the airport and downtown Tampa area. Free parking was a plus! Price per night was good as we were there for 2 nights only. Next door to an ihop that is 24 hours and enterprise rental. Hotel does offer free breakfast but we did not wake up in time for a proper review. Offers early check in but at a 50.00 charge.
Great location near airport. Lobby and main area was very nice.....Enjoyed the style of the hotel with the garden-style open air interior.....Pool was fantastic after a long day of travelling.. Clean & Big, deep pool. Made the 1 night stay nearly perfect. Near stadium & Causeway to Beaches.....
Initially we weren’t sure about the neighbourhood but it turned out to be a good location to local amenities and access to downtown Tampa and St Pete’s/Clearwater. The house was well equipped and comfortable and in good condition. Would recommend for any family visiting Tampa.

The check in process was seamless. The interior of the property is beautiful and is consistent with the listing photos, the view is breathtaking. The location is great with easy access to TPA, downtown Tampa, and St. Pete-Clearwater.
I love the area around this hotel but it is ridiculously over priced for what it was. If I had to do this again I would just travel to downtown Tampa instead of trying to pay an overpriced hotel to stay in the area.
Property is located in South Tampa, a little far from downtown but still reachable in 15/20 mins. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast is basic but good.
