This rustic themed lodge was a real gem in the woods. It sits in a majestic canyon surrounded by beautiful mountains. The lodge lobby is grand with a bar and gift shop and very friendly staff. We had their Muir Suite which included a beautiful fireplace. The road to the lodge is a 25 minute drive down a scenic byway.

It was ok. the location was great!!!
I was only a few miles from where we were going, so easy!!!
The room was fantastic, loved the wood floors also.
I would stay here again anytime. The hotel is built as a log cabin and was just incredible! The views are stunning! I could stay for a week! Bed was comfortable and the room was nice and clean. Hotel staff was very professional and friendly. Everything you need is readily available right at the facility. The restaurant is just across the street and has lots of choices for any pallet. The food was very good.

Man at the desk was argumentative and put us on the third floor which was a real problem? as my husband is 78 years old and walks with a cane and they had no working elevator. We went to another hotel, but was still charged for the Fairfield. Had to fight the charges. No one at the desk answered when credit company called.Would never go back there

My family and I loved our stay in Spearfish, the home we rented was a dream home (loved the barn doors), and our hosts were terrific people, who checked on us, or helped in any way if we had questions.
They were awesome people (Shelly and Jason)! Shelly decorated the christmas tree in our home, it was so pretty, and made it feel like our own home. Great decor Shelly. God Bless good people such as you (owners!
See you soon!

Lovely town to stay in.
Lovely town to stay in. Spearfish Canyon was awesome and only about 5 minutes from town. Spearfish is close to Deadwood if you want to visit there and see the Mt. Moriah Cemetery where Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok are buried.
Would stay in Spearfish again!

A surprisingly beautiful place to spend our vacation - near Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Keystone, and Sturgis. The Front Porch in Keystone was a great place to eat. Just a short drive from Devil's Tower in Wyoming. Great for the family. Great for hiking. Bridal Veil Falls, Devil's Bathtub, Roughlock Falls, 76 Trail. Wonderful for the heart of summer.

So many things to do in the immediate area be sure to allow yourself enough time to enjoy it! You won’t regret it!! Ate at Red water Kitchen food was amazing unique options and everything we had was amazing including the service. Wonderful clean little town!!
The managers Larry and Monica are great! Hard working couple maintaining a nIce and quiet location outside downtown Spearfish. Check in/out process was the smoothest on our vacation yet. Best AC and quality of towels.
Best value if you are enroute to Devils Tower the next morning!
Staff at the reception was very attentive. On checking out I mentioned something quite minor in my room that needed fixing and the front desk manager wrote it down immediately in her notebook - a good sign of sincere interest in customers and excellence in the hotel.
The cottage was very well stocked and very nice. It had very wonderful decor and was spot on with the pics they have up on the website. The cottage is in a very good location easy to find and not to far from downtown Spearfish.
Donnie B was a hard worker, pleasant, knowledgeable about the area, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile for the travelers. I wish every hotel had employees just like him. I would love for him to be promoted!!!
The breakfast was nice. Coffee in the lobby, stellar! The mattresses weren't hard as a rock. I like soft and medium pillows. Black out curtains are perfect. The room was nice and clean. I like your hotel very much.
Staff was friendly and professional. The pool was clean, though small for the size of the hotel. Breakfast had a wide selection and was as good as one would expect for the price.
