Absolutely nothing! The elevator had alit of black tape on the floor to coer up a bug rip and it smelledlike dirty socks. The first room was dirty, so we went back to the front desk. Got a 2nd room, went back up the elevator and my boyfriend open the door and someone else was staying in that room. Why would we be given a key to enter a room occupied by another guest. Thank goodness they weren't in bed or getting out of the shower. He closed the door and went back down the yucky elevator again. I told the young lady I wanted a refund that we were not staying. She apologized and handed me a refund receipt. What a horrible experience.

It was an older place, maybe late 1940’s but was well maintained. There were some good ornamentation: colorful plants, sculpture, painting in the room. The couple who owned the place were warm and friendly, eager to please.
Loved the area. It is a great hub to explore the many surrounding lakes, small towns and rain forests. We actually met a Quinault Indian while we were in the Quinault Rain Forest and had a lovely conversation with him while we were sitting on the river bank, and playing with his dog. Priceless. We also had great Mexican Food in Hoods Port (?) at a Cantina/Eatery on the water. Great shrimp, photo opps, Idyllic!

The staff is amazing. Food is great. My only thing is put the guests with pets in the rooms with the tile floors or vinyl whichever is on the bottom floors. That way if someone's pet has fleas maybe the next guests won't get all bitten up. My first stay I was downstairs in one of those rooms and I fell in love with The Guesthouse.
There is a gas station/ convenience store, coffee stand, and restaurant all on/next to property. Its right off the highway but you don't hear all the noise. Plenty of room outside to walk your pets. Ill still go back.

I grew up in Camp Grisdale, we come to Montesano to attend a reunion. I love Montesano. My family has eaten at the Beehive restaurant since 1958. I'm sorry to say that the food is not up to par. We will find another restaurant to eat at.

We had a drink at Charlie’s next to the VFW. The bartender was really friendly. There’s a cool old back bar that’s from early 1900’s. Not much to the town that I could tell but we didn’t venture too far from the hotel.
It’s a good spot on the way.

They are very nice in "Monty". Lake Sylvia state park is right up the road 5 minutes away. On Saturday they have a nice farmer's Market in the city park. I ate at The Family Dinning place just off the freeway. I'm sorry I didn't memorizes the names . Maybe "The Fishinghole" ???? and I ate a burger at the drive in right next to the Guest House Hotel. Both were really good and very very nice hosts.
Unlike a lot of hotels, they had a great selection of food for the complimentary breakfast; everything from waffles and flavored creamers for the coffee to bagels and oatmeal. The flowers out in front of the hotel, planted from seeds, were beautiful, and the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a great meal at Fishin Hole Family Restaurant right across the parking lot.
Easy to access location with plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby (in fact, within walking distance). Front desk staff were friendly, the rooms were well supplied, and the facilities were in clean working condition.
Breakfast was plentiful and offered good variety. The location was ideal, right off the highway AND with a wonderful fish restaurant just steps away. We enjoyed strolling through the nearby neighborhood after dinner too.
OK--pretty much standard hotel breakfast fare. I really appreciated that the breads were wrapped! Front desk folk were awesome. Appreciate the level 1 EV charging spot--Level 2 charging would be even better.
