There for a concert at the Dome, was easy access if you pop down the hill and hop on the tram, maybe 3 min walk. A few places around to get a bite to eat or a nice beer. Room was clean, comfy bed and a good shower was all I needed so I was happy

The location was perfect for our planned activities -- a visit to the W.W.S. Botanical Conservatory, Broadway Antique Row, and the Farmers Market Gala. And I could see that it would also be perfect for concerts and/or stage performances. Gives me lots to consider. But mostly I enjoyed every one of my interactions with staff members. The front desk staff, random staff members we met in the hallway or elevator, the wait staff in the restaurant -- all were gracious, helpful, and charming.

Tacoma itself seems like a great city.
Tacoma itself seems like a great city. However, the Comfort Inn next to the Tacoma Dome is terrible. The staff are unprofessional, and you’ll be lucky if you can get checked in (even if you booked months in advance).

Be prepared to see a city over run by trash, crime, and homelessness. Don't bother staying anywhere with walking distant of any main attraction, you won't be able to walk anyway due to the sprawling homeless encampments and gang bangers lining every corner and underpass. Do your research before you go and be aware of your surroundings.

Absolutely love the place and we will continue to visit often. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is fantastic! Every person we encountered was cheerful and helpful. The bartender that served us was funny and accommodating! I'm a minority and not often treated equally but here it makes no difference! We will come back often...

Silver Cloud is a very nice place to stay and very quiet comfortable rooms. But it is a little expensive by the time we got done with one night the room, parking, dinner and breakfast it was almost $500. We had planned on more than one night but had to just do one for our anniversary don’t get me wrong it is very nice place along the water front. There is a public market, theater, shops and more dining with in walking distance. The glass museum, point defiance park and zoo are a short drive. It wold have been nice to have a room facing the water maybe next time after we save up a little money.

OK, first you have to understand that I've lived in Tacoma for a long time. Homelessness and crime are major issues unfortunately but more often than not as long as you don't do anything stupid you should be fine. All that aside, Tacoma is an absolutely beautiful city with some gorgeous historical buildings and neighborhoods full of crestsman turn of the century houses. Also the food scene here, although not on the same part as Seattle, is definitely a close 2nd.
Very comfortable bed and cozy rooms! They have a convenience store area with reasonably priced (for a hotel) things like snacks and even TV dinners. (Wish we knew that before searching for late night food elsewhere.) The free breakfast was the first hot food I've gotten from a hotel since the pandemic. Parking was easy to access/use and was secure. All staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful.
We were there for a show at the Tacoma Dome and it was perfect walking distance (and felt very safe to walk.)
Very friendly staff. Great housekeeper. Able to keep both dogs and cats. As a cat owner it’s very hard to find hotels that allow cats. Waitress for the restaurant was very sweet and bless her heart for waiting all these tables on her own, and to the probably 1-3 cooks in the back. Property feels highly secured although in a sketchy area of Tacoma (near 1-5 off Portland ave has a lot of homeless/drug addicts). 24 hour security. The elevator system isn’t the worse I’ve ever endured.
I reserved this stay for my grandson. He literally traveled 2000 miles by Amtrak and arrived one week ago today. He was so pleased with your property! It helped tremendously to have a comfortable room in a safe environment and he has flourished already in Tacoma, training for a new position with Amazon. I just reserved one more night for him in the same room. Thank you so much for providing the perfect environment for a young man very far from home!
We stayed during our honeymoon trip and loved everything about this hotel! The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was perfect and we enjoyed exploring all of the areas of the hotel and bars. Highlights were the free live music in the beautiful band room, the secret bar, the tikki style bar where we had dinner and drinks, and the tap room. We hope to return one day!
This was a fantastic spot for our group of 4! The check-in was seamless with friendly staff, the room was clean, and the check-out was smooth. There is Mega Pharmacy, H Mart Tacoma, 7-Eleven and Shell gas station close by driving if you needed to grab anything. The parking included was such a nice touch. I would recommend staying here.
I knew it wasn't a 5 star hotel but the room wasn't cleaned very well it smelled of wet dog and of animal urine, I had to go buy some air freshener. But the room was a good size we had clean towels and such. I have gone back and stay a few times and will probably stay again for what I pay the staff is friendly and the rooms are decent
The hotel is amazing (location, design, food, coffee!...) but the absolute best thing about the Marriott Tacoma Downtown is the Staff! We were treated with such friendliness and respect. We were amazed at the quality of the people working here. We would love to stay here again on future trips to Tacoma.
Very nice lobby with fireplace very friendly staff on reception. Room were clean and beds comfortable. Best price to have comfortable couple nights in Tacoma/Seatle area. Located in walking distance from glass museum. Huge parking area.
Loved this hotel! Everything was better than expected and the area is awesome! The only thing that happened was our bed smelled like urine. They were quick to fix it but the thought of how that happened grossed us out.
We chose this hotel because of the great reviews it had. The location was great. The room was a good size. The environment was pleasant. I loved walking in the morning near the waterfront. It was very suitable.
The room was fine - reasonably spacious, and with all the facilities you would expect. Good secure parking garage (included in the price). Good location just off the I-5 and very near the Tacoma Dome.
The location is awesome - first time staying in Tacoma and will return to both the hotel and the city. The bed and pillows were super comfy. I loved all the art and the way it was presented.
Really nice quiet room. They helped us out as our reservation at another hotel fell through as they wouldn't allow our pet even though their website said they were pet friendly.
Brand new hotel. Very clean. Great location on south part of Tacoma. Better than average hotel breakfast . When we return to Tacoma, we will definitely stay here again
