We did not check in. The website says pet friendly, but it does not mention that you don't accept cats. We had to try and find another place at 1:00 in the morning after we had already paid. We are waiting for a refund .

Location and friendliness . Problem with plumbing but the staff went above and beyond to make it right!
Days Inn by Wyndham Lakewood, S Tacoma, WA
This motel is horrible. It's in a very bad part of S Tacoma, WA. The ad says it's a pet friendly motel, yet they charge 50.00 per night for 1 well behaved dog. Seriously?
The photos online are very misleading. The room contained a mix mash of old beat up furniture, the porcelain finish was worn off the tub. The bathroom counter was cracked, but the absolute worst of it all, and very last straw, was the security lock for the inside of the room door was broken and partially missing! Clearly, the door has previously been kicked in at some point! Oh heck no! I couldn't even securely lock the door from the inside!
Desk assistant said she could only offer me another room. No thank you! I'll just dispute the charge with my credit card company. This clearly is not a safe place to stay! I have photos of the damaged door as proof.
Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as you can. On a scale of 1-10, this place is a -0, yes, it’s a minus zero!

The staff i posted ruined 😠 it and because of her absolute disregard for human life. Treated me very disrespectful so im not coming back. I actually liked the property for the most part and most of the staff. Im spending my money over at Best western and it is worth the $20 more dollars because you get Breakfast and its clean and comfortable and quiet and the staff is extremely helpful and very nice. I just couldn't believe how that lady treated me. I spent over $1000 dollars with Days inn. In a month. I was between homes and it is already overwhelming she makes the property Trashy with her crued manners.

We only stopped in Lakewood because it was on the way to our destination and there was a laboratory there where we got PCR tests for travel. However the area seemed nice, there was an excellent Mexican restauarant about a block south on the same side of the road where we had a really good meal. We were able to continue on our journey east only having to use the I-5 for about 8 miles which was good, as the I-5 in that area has a LOT of traffic and can be very slow going.

There were very few outlets.
There were very few outlets. You had to unplug the tv to use the microwave. Not outlets at the bathroom vanity - the manual wall heater was noisy and not accurate at all. 68 degrees felt like 80. Lots of places to eat, if all you eat is Asian food... which fortunately I happen to like. Very rundown area.

Not a great place. Lakewood is a run-down, dirty town with little in way of shopping, attractions, or any other things to do.
High crime. Would not recommend it.

The room and property were so dirty that I didn't stay.
The room and property were so dirty that I didn't stay. I took one look and one smell of the room and left. I parked away from the property and booked another hotel not too far away. The bedding looked dirty and the room smelled. I didn't feel safe staying here. When I came back later and turned in the key cards and checked out, no one asked why but did refund one out of the two nights I paid for. Would not recommend this place until they cleaned up their rooms and property. Maybe their clientele too.
I didn’t enjoy my stay and didn’t know people can live there. I didn’t get the room I reserved. I had to wait for room when I got there on Friday. Reserve the room on Sunday. They were over booked and had pets everywhere. No comforter on the beds and the bathroom linen looked dirty. To get clean linens you have to pay for them or wash the ones you have. The hotel had a smell to it from all the people living there with animals. I left Saturday and couldn’t get a refund!!! Horrible experience
the room was very nice. it was clean and comfortable and more than we were expecting. it’s near the freeway entrance too so it was really convenient to drive into Tacoma from there. it is also only 15 minutes away from sheilacoom park and we loved checking that out.
The staff were amazing. The room was outstanding. The breakfast was delicious. I came fir my husband birthday and we will be back for mine. I highly recommend this hotel. O and the jacuzzi was huge and I already miss it.
There was poop on the handle of the toilet that was not cleaned. No coffee cups, but a coffee maker…makes perfect sense! 😑 This hotel is holding a very high deposit for a room that was not clean in the first place.
The breakfast options were always good. I loved the fact that I could wash a load of clothes at the hotel. The laundry room was an unexpected bonus! The staff, and Marianne in particular, we’re amazing.
The price, everything else was grossly overpriced because of a concert going on. In my opinion, this property was still overpriced despite the demand for hotels. Staff was nice! Location was good.
I did not stay at this Hotel after walking into the lobby, the front desk staff were not accessible, I was unable tii on access Booking.com website to cancel this reservation .
Lovely clean hotel with friendly staff. Room & beds were comfortable and breakfast was hot and plentiful. Plenty of free parking plus easy freeway access.
