Argos Hotel was delightful. Great location, helpful and friendly staff, great amenities. Our room had its own terrace with incredible views of the valley and the hot air balloons every morning. Spacious, comfortable room with thoughtful touches like a hot water bottle popped into our bed every evening, a welcome tray of delicious snacks and bottle of wine. Our sitting room even had a cosy fireplace with one of the staff coming to light it - sheer bliss!

All the staff provide excellent service. They made reservations for us in two restaurants in town with different menu and ambience. Extremely thoughtful. The two restaurants are probably the best in Uchisar. They booked all our airports transfer and tours, making sure there are no hitches

Location was quiet which was good but that came at the cost of distance from Goreme which has more amenities. But view from the hotel and room in general were spectacular. We didn't spend much time here, but easy flight from Istanbul. Convenient for the balloon rides, but not directly in the town they fly from. A preferable location if you want a little more peace and quiet, and enough choices for dining. Lovely to walk around and spectacular views from many parts.

Uchisar provides great access to all the sights of Cappadocia. Our stay at La Casa offered the perfect mix of cave/building and was in a great location. The breakfast was excellent. The close by Janti Cafe is also excellent, highly recommend. One thing to note is that google gets a bit confused with the one way streets, but once you get the hang of navigating in Uchisar, it is very easy to get around and you can see the castle from many of the nearby hiking areas.

It worked great for us. We had a rental and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the busier Goreme. If you don't have a car and are staying in Cappadocia for the first time, perhaps Uchisar is not the best option since it will limit your walking distance options of restaurants, shops and tour agencies, we loved it though and found it to be the perfect homebase to explore the region. It seems like some of the more exclusive hotels and restaurants are also in Uchisar so it depends on what works best for you.

Small town area next to the rock castle.
Small town area next to the rock castle. Quiet, with lots of restaurants. The top of the mountain has more shops and art galleries to see along with cafes. Once you step out of the area it is mostly desolated and filled with caves. There is lots of new construction going on in the peripheral area. We ate at the statehouse around our hotel and it was great. A bit expensive but gourmet like treatment. The open air museum is only 10 min away and the castle is right in the center of Uchisar. Slightly away from the crowd of Goreme, Uchisar was just right. The property was close to the castle which made it convenient. The pigeon valley entrance is a km on foot so makes for a great walk. Personally between Goreme and Uchisar, I preferred Uchisar as it's quieter and had more luxe options. Also the views were amazing and we spent quite a bit of time sitting in the terrace taking in the country air.

Uchisar is an incredible small town with a beautiful medieval section that is wonderfully thriving. Clean, friendly, with laid back dogs roaming the streets, and the home of Uchisar castle. Pigeon Valley has its own mystique and overall the town touches something inside of you that makes you want to stay longer.
Uchisar is on a hill, so the views from the terrace where we had breakfast are amazing and in the early morning you can also watch the balloons as they rise and float. We had a rented car and all sights and attractions are near. Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is genuine and good. Our room was a cave room with a jacuzzi, very clean and well equiped. Not all rooms are cave rooms. Some of the rooms have also got views. I recommend this hotel for a marvellouse stay in cappadocia.
Location - this hotel was right next to the Uchisar castle, you could walk to the castle. The rooms are well appointed and spacious, we took the two bedroom and it was huge, staying in a cave is a different experience. The breakfast was served to us on our table and was fantastic - we loved everything about the breakfast. The team is very hospitable and they respond quickly on whatsapp. They creatged a memorable experience when i told them it was my wife's birthday.
It’s my first time in cappadokia , I like the area and the mountains with the caves.
My goal was for the balloon fly trip , but I done other experiments ( like , tour in a classic car , Turkish night , camel riding and others ).
The hotel is like an graved room in the mountain , nice rooms and facilities , nice people , especially ( Roslyn , Masood , Ginga ) from reception , very helpful and mahout from the breakfast .

It was a cool experience staying in a cave hotel. Arguably the best way to experience Cappadocia. The rooms were spacious and clean and all the staff were very welcoming and attentive. It was our first time in Cappadocia and the location of the hotel turned out to be a great base to see all of Cappadocia. The breakfast in particular was lovely. The restaurant staff were excellent at fulfilling all our food requests, special thanks to Resul, Ibrahim and Muhammad.
I liked the location of the hotel (if you are the type that like calmness and hate busy areas)

We want to thank Caldera Cave hotel for the such warm stay. First of all we booked standard rooms but they gave us as welcome gift the best rooms. Very friendly staff, guys reacted very quick on the all of our demands. Very tasty breakfasts. Hotel is located very close to the castle rock. Because of the such high location we had the best viewpoint to the valley with the flying balloons in Cappadocia.
Everything was wonderful and up to my expectations. Very clean and spacious rooms. Excellent location. And above all the level of service was magnificent. The best part of our stay was the personal care and kind hearted staff. They appeared to love their job and they really treated us with much care. We truly thank them all. Any time I come back to Cappadocia I will surely stay in this hotel.
It was an incredible place to stay! Mehmet and his team were so friendly and made sure we were comfortable at all times. A highlight was the amazing breakfast on the terrace (made by Mehmet’s mother). I loved the location and would recommend staying in Uchisar compared to the more touristy Goreme nearby. We would 100% stay here again and recommend to any friends coming to Cappadocia.

The hotel is super cute and cozy; the room was spacious and clean; Önder and Murtaza were very friendly and helpful with planning daily outings; the location was good, close to Uchisar Castle, very quiet; the breakfast was exceptional, lots of variety and fresh, with the best coffee I had in Turkey, the cutest kittens, and beautiful views from the terrace!
We loved Kale Konak. Our cave room was the nicest place we stayed in Turkey. Clean, comfortable, and convenient. It is across the street from the castle, so we walked and hiked right from the hotel. There is a Turkish bath and a tunnel system through the hotel which is fun. Breakfast was great and had an awesome view. Staff were very attentive and helpful.

Really lovely and helpful owner and his family. The breakfast was delicious with lots of salads, hot foods, biscuits, breads, tea and coffee. The hotel is in the perfect location just 10 mins from Uchisar castle and 5 mins from a bus stop with regular buses to göreme and Nevsehir. The rooms and showers were great.
This hotel has the most incredible view of Uchisar Castle, it was simply stunning. Breakfast was incredible, they bring over so much food and the staff is very friendly and helpful! Perfect if you're looking for a nice stay in a quiter location compared to Goreme which is much busier. We absolutely loved it!
