Hotel was in a great location for family visit. Breakfast was good buffet. The hotel manager came up to us a few times to check if everything was ok. That was a nice touch. We didn't have time to go in the pool but it looked good.

Trang is a great place to get a taste for a real Thai city, especially before or after a stay out at the islands. After our trip out to the Koh Mook and Koh Libong, a stay in Trang provided a different, but equally interesting experience of city life in Trang. Beautiful landscapes surrounding city and the food scene is crazy and amazing (as with much of Thailand)! We had just one night here and a little under a day, which was a perfect amount of time for us to rent a scooter and explore a couple of cool sites in the area (Khao Chang Hai Cave, Weaving Center), visit the night markets, and experience the famous Trang dim sum breakfast. My husband and I definitely thought Trang City was worth a visit!

Beaches are not as beautiful as Krabi, Phang Nga or Phuket. However, its islands is quite remarkable. Moreover,you can travel to Trang by train or air from Bangkok. If you are looking for cultural tourism, you will like Trang.

Excellent food taste there is the legend, and island is superb. Grill Pork (Moo Yang) is different taste but in a great Chinese-herb great style. 'Hongchai' is good for the original grilled pork-chicken-lever rice and 'Trang Old town' is good for black coffee and old pictures. Recommend you to wake up at 6am and find the city fresh market downtown to buy 'Ko Paow' grilled pork for sweet-less and oil-less pork in case you want to taste a nice healthy food.
Tae-tieam (Chinese breakfast style) in Trang is one of the most famous meal, please try it at Jae Nok restaurant or just ask local to find a good one.
Please spend 3-4 days hanging around koh Kradarn (Kradarn Island), it is quiet and private place (don't forget your sun block). It is also good for trekking and canoeing with a crystal clear ocean. Takes some food and water with you in case to kill some expensive food there. Be prepare with some anti-mosquito spray.

1) cooperation among people in the city : we went for "Trang Maraton 2019" event, everywhere we go, people kept asking "do you come for running?" and they gave discounts for hotels, restaurants..etc. Also, they have student shows along the running path :D

What I dislike : Hard to find public transportation! the best way is to rent a car
If you are on a budget, want to live like local and enjoy the best of Thailand, this place is for you. The place is owned by a really nice family and it's situated near the best wild beach of Koh Muk, where they have nice beach bar. The food was so good, it topped some really expensive restaurants we've visited in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, and the familly really takes care of their guests. Don't expect much, and it will exceed your expectations by miles. Wished we stayed few days longer. Thank you for having us!
Sleeper House was an excellent stay for a few days in Trang. Very close to the train station and other important shops (seven eleven, pharmacy, night market). The owner was so kind, the rooms very clean. Every day she gave me 3-4 bottles of fresh drinking water in the room. She helped me with organizing my transportation to the islands, gave tips for getting food (QR code on google maps) and even ordered food for me when I got sick with stomachache 🥹 I can highly recommend the rooms. It feels very safe and friendly.

The hotel has the feel of a family home with wonderful personal touches everywhere - well-kept and interesting garden (lots of birds), communal areas both upstairs and downstairs with free tea)coffee/cake/fruit etc.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and staff lovely.

I stayed one night in this hotel, very quiet and well located near the night market. Rooms are really big, the hotel has a large lobby with many tables, games, etc. It was a but quiet when I stayed there, I only saw one staff
but she was helpful, she helped me with a taxi to go to the train station.

Trang is an interesting city but most travelers are just passing through. As the title indicates the train station is very close. There are trains all the way to bangkok.
Reception was easy and everyone smiling and happy.

Good location at city centre hotel near Trang railway station and enjoyable weekend night market. Very helpful staff and beautifully clean. Pretty room and well laid out bathroom. Excellent wi-fi. Breakfast available in restaurant next door and evening meal also available in Wine Corner, both very good.
Appartement is very well located in the Trang city centre! Everything was within walking distance. There is also a great traditional dimsum restaurant and coffee place around the corner. Staff was very helpful and helped us a great deal with the boat schedule, organising ferry & airport pickups.
The staff were incredibly helpful and got to know you and what you liked. They served breakfast, organised outings, and organised our transfer to Trang Airport when we left which went incredibly smoothly. Overall a lovely place, the room was nice, and the staff were wonderful
Two connecting rooms are perfect for our family. The hotel in general and the rooms in particular are well maintained and clean with full amenities. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a comfortable stay in Trang that is well worth the money.
We arrived at the Rua Rasada (more fancy) hotel where they arranged a golf cart to drop us at the Rua Rasada Express (budget hotel). Very kind people! Spacious room, good beds, clean and nice shower. 15min walk from the busstation
When they could not figure out if they would give me a room or not, someone who I believe was involved with the hotel went out of their way and was very nice while arranging a room across the street for me at the same price.
