Tara Park is fantastic, the road leading to the lakes are pretty good but many turns, the cabin is situated in a very beautiful place and equipped with anything you need, spacious bathroom, equipped kitchen and living, terrace outside looking at the valley, we had a very good night sleep in the fresh mountain air. It is a bit far out of the way but the trip up and down the mountain is worth it.
Featuring a garden, Tara Land Lake features accommodations in Zaovine. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Towels and bed linen are available in the country house.

It is a great place to relax and enjoy the lake view and the sunset. The owner Jovan is so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed his and his friends’ company. Rooms are clean. One thing to highlight is the nearest restaurant is 15-20 min away. So either come ready to cook yourself or be ready to drive.
This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking, and free Wifi.

Thing we liked the most, was the warm welcome during our stay. The owners treat you like family. Food was home made and delicious. Had a great time, and will come back definitely again.

Perfect for foragers and those wishing to experience undeveloped natural mountains and a crystal clear lake that stretches for miles.
With all the winding dirt roads and remote wilderness it is easy to lose WiFi and get lost so be sure to map your route ahead of time and save for offline viewing.
Also keep an eye out for random dirt road exits off of major roads that locals use to access lake and stream areas for swimming and sunbathing.

We stayed inside the Tara National Park.
We stayed inside the Tara National Park. Its a beautiful place and a nice space to get connected to nature. Got some breathe taking view points and amazing roads.
Evening become dark quick and so are the shops to close as well. The night drive is breathe taking as we saw some foxes and rabbits on the road.
Some roads were snow filled and it makes it extra adventurous. Away from city and a nice place to spend few days. 3 days should be enough to roam around and cover most of the attractions.
Dinning at Tarsko Jezero is a must for its amazing view over the valley.
Get snow tyres and u are good to go! We rented a car from Belgrade airport and it was a nice journey.
On the way Get your groceries and eatable (from Maxi) especially if you are travelling with kids. Proper winter clothes are advised. Its a hikers paradise.

Zaovine is small village near the lake with the same name in Tara National Park. I like the place with little chalets by the lake and the spot they call "štrand". No restaurants around but all chalets have cooking and barbecue facilities. The access by car is a bit difficult but safe. Ask Miloš for a boat trip on the lake. Enjoy the wild but quiet nature, walk in the forest and find the fresh water spring.
