Zalau is a small but charming town, its surrounding areas being absolutely amazing landscapes. We had a tour of the churches, very spiritual and beautifully decorated. The locally grown food is excellent, as the locally distilled plum brandy, which is no. 1 in the country. It's also close to the city of Cluj, just 2 hours drive, so this could be made into a tandem visit.

Also city itself, architecture etc. is very various.
In hills next to Zalau is located ancient Roman city Porolissum - a short trip, it´s worth to see it.
The hotel is stylised like king's or duke's palace, every floor has it's own decorations, this really looks good. The room also was decorated in the same royal style. Bed was comfortable, sheets and towels were clean and smells good. In our room we had problem with drain in sink (water didn't flash), but personal were glad to solve this problem. Personal was pleasant and nice.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. I also enjoyed a nice bath with my lady and to top it up , we had room service in the morning with a very tasteful breakfast and coffee which was included in the price.
The stuff was amazing ! very kind ! 10/10

Nice hotel, large and well furnished room, very nice and helpful staff. Very good restaurant, tasty dishes, a lot of home made food. I specially recommend the home made ice cream with apple! Also a very nice breakfast with some original touches. Overall a very good experience, better that other famous location in Romania.
I went to Zalau with my wife to attend a wedding. We stayed at this property due to the multiple advantages: location, plenty of space available, distance from the restaurant where the wedding took place, etc. I can say that everything was flawless. Many thanks to the hosts!
We stayed there for one night during our road trip through Romania. The rooms were very nice and of decent size. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant . I highly recommend this hotel.
Awesome place. The host is amazing! The guesthouse is very clean, area is quiet and beautiful. It’s located close to the big city of Zalau. Kitchen is perfectly equipped. It was awesome to stay here.

Very clean and everything was brand new! Hotel staff invited me to attend a grand opening dinner. I was very late so I missed most of it but it was a nice gesture.
