Staff were friendly and willing to help. Pets friendly (we have a dog and it is important for us). The room was with a balcony with the view to the castle. Location is perfect it is just in heart of the city center. A lot of places to walk with a dog.

The room was large and very comfortable. The sofa bed for my son was set up for him upon our arrival. He said that it was the most comfortable sofa bed that he had ever slept on. The staff were very helpful and flexible with any question or request that we had. We were impressed with their customer service. The breakfast was very good and had plenty of vegetarian options.

Breakfast had a good variety of bread and cheeses. The pear juice served was delicious and the various bread and pastries options exceeded my expectations. There was also decent protein options for those who are on low carb diet. Very convenient location walkable from the train station and clean modern rooms.

The landscapes surrounding hotel are stunning. You are in the middle of natural reserve park, with a 16th century monastery besides. Facilities are top notch, people serving you totally amazing, so much smiles, warmth and attention you get, that you start feeling like the most appreciated guest.

The hotel, an old palacio, was gorgeous, in lovely grounds. The rooms were decorated with frescoes and old furniture matching the style of the palace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included buffet breakfast had many great options to chose from (or have it all!). The tasting menu dinner was delicious and an evening drink on the terrace watching the sun go down was beautiful. There is a path opposite the hotel that shortcuts the hill walk up to Pena Palace or Moorish Castle. It is fairly rough but fine for those who are steady on their feet. Not far from Regaleira palace and Sintra town either.

The thing we most loved about our stay was the location, the Quinta is a pleasant 10-minute walk from the historic centre of Sintra, nestling amongst lush and very long-established gardens with a timeless, back-to-nature feel.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the whole place is atmospheric and peaceful.
We weren't able to enjoy the garden due to wet weather but would be lovely later in the season.

Perfect two night stay right in the heart of Sintra. Our room was very spacious, clean, modern, comfy bed and lovely view. The gentleman at reception was super helpful, with many tips not only for Sintra but for our entire road trip through portugal. So lovely to chat to. Breakfast was delicious with great variety. All the pastries were amazing. Highly recommend for your stay in Sintra !

Sintra is a very pleasant city with a small but bustling old town. Restaurants are very good for the money. Parking would be a nightmare so don't drive in for the day. (our hotel had parking) Pena Palace was beautiful, then was dow to the Moorish Castle. but in my opinion, the crown jewel was Quinta Regliera. Make sure to get tickets online in advance!

Sintra is a beautiful town.
Sintra is a beautiful town. There are many places to see, but so many other tourists it is hard so some attractions. If you want to go to attractions you need to purchase tickets ahead of time and make sure you have reliable transportation to the attractions. Allow ample time to get to where you are going b/c traffic to the tourist sights are usually jammed with traffic.
Lots of places to eat and shop.

Historical part of Sintra certainly deserves a visit when you are in the area. In my opinion one full day will do to see visit the park and some of the palaces. You would start early so a stay overnight might be more convenient for some.Tickets are easily booked online and I purchased an audio tour to listen to on my phone. There are are tuktuk or taxi drivers around that can bring you to the entrance of the park from where you can walk to the Palace de Pena and other sites. There are several entrances. Instead going to the busy main entrance I took a tuktuk to the entrance of the Valley of the Lakes, a 45 min. walk away from Palace de Pena. It a beautiful and quiet part of the park and I took a detour to see the chalet and garden of the Countess of Edla, which I loved even more than the palace itself.
Visiting the palace involved long waits in line and walking in files through the rooms. Not my thing. The park is huge with a diversity in plants and trees, it has a camelea and a fern garden, just nice to wonder around for a few hours. Bring snacks and drinks if you want to avoid the waiting line for the cafeteria at the palace.

Lots of walking.
Lots of walking. Ideally 3-4 days to hit everything comfortably. Old Town is closed to motor traffic so rideshare, taxis, and public transportaion are your best bet. Rideshare works to the sites well but can often be a problem getting back

We took a walking tour which gave us good insight into the town and what we must see.
We had an excellent host for our apartment who shared information with us. Good eateries, lovely coffee shops with such fresh pastries.
We literally did feel welcomed and home from the very first second! The apartment has everything you need - beach equipment, bikes, a wonderful kitchen, outdoor and indoor hangout areas, insanely clean shower & comfy bedroom. Absolutely recommendable - we will come back whenever being back in Portugal again. The location is excellent to visit beaches within walking distance and a lots of wonderful towns around to explore by car!
You will hear the waves from the Atlantic Ocean when falling asleep - thanks for everything! 🙏🏿
The location was incredible, overlooking cliffs to the left and the crashing waves of the Atlantic to the right. This was our first stop to get over jet lag after landing in Lisbon and we were totally blown away. Very funky yet comfortable apartment right near a fantastic local fish restaurant (best meal i had in 18 days in Portugal) and a pastry stand for breakfast. Very friendly host, fixed a plumbing problem promptly. We were more than satisfied in all respects.
Room was airy, well- ventilated, and one could open the balcony door for fresh air. Lovely, quiet, view. Bed and bathroom linen were very good. Furniture met all requirements- closet space, room for suitcases, spacious beside tables, mirrors, extra chair etc. Breakfast was excellent quality and the best we had among 4 hotels we stayed at in Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto and Sintra. Staff were very helpful, courteous, friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
You actually live in a palace !!! The big bonus is the peaceful gardens and spectacular views.
This is a luxury boutique hotel with only 9 rooms that gave an opportunity to meet and make new friends.
We loved the "happy hour" of 6:30 pm and the peaceful atmosphere at breakfast.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, but very young, and some of them lack experience (or guidance ...)
Everything about this guest house experience was incredible. I really really enjoyed my stay, I felt so much at home with my room and the comfiness of the bed and the cleanliness and the breakfast WAS SO EXCELLENT. Seriously recommend and it was so much nicer than the boutique hotels that my other friends stayed at! Don't debate on another place just pick this one!!! :) :)
Lovely room, lovely home, lovely owners and very accommodating.
Parking was extremely easy and safe as well. Excellent location a few minutes from the beach and in the gorgeous coastal forest area in the surrounds. And after traveling for a number of years, this would be a region I would love to return to and explore more. One of the most charming areas of Portugal.
Everything. Very boutique, all new, super comfortable night sleep, friendly staff, one or two minute walk from train station, loved the option to have access to sister palace boutique hotel down the street where we heard good Fado music with full wine and cheese spread looking out at the castle (all gratis), so beautiful. Excellent breakfast!
100/10 - Wonderful experience! The best choice to stay in Sintra! This place offers a clean room with amazing view and the best host in the world! The breakfast is being made fresh in the morning, by the host himself. It even includes fresh vegetables from host’s garden! Highly recomenned - the best place we’ve slept in Portugal.
It’s a beautifully appointed and decorated old home in Sintra. The mattress was super comfortable and the bathroom, which I knew is shared between the two guest rooms, has a wonderful bathtub. Location is great and Alejandra is a kind, attentive and friendly owner and host. It was my favourite stay in Portugal.
This hotel has it all:
- free private parking
- nice staff
- exceptional view (one of the best, all rooms have an ocean view)
- nice open buffe breakfast (fresh and rich products)
- cafe open all day long
- gastronomical restaurant
- sandy beach
- 100 metres long salty swimming pool !!!
Rui, the hotel manager, was wonderful and made our stay excellent. He helped us with restaurant recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. I would absolutely stay at Hotel Nova Sintra again on a return trip - we wished we'd had more time to enjoy the lovely hotel terrace.
Hotel Sintra Jardim was a special chalet. I loved our room and the way it was decorated. Our view from our room was incredible of the garden and pool and of the moorish castle as well. The staff were great. Breakfast was good and I hope to get back there one day!
Very supportive and attentive staff, amazing breakfast (best we had in Portugal), perfect location with a free parking spot right in front of the hotel. Just make sure you take the right exit to reach the hotel, otherwise it will take you on a 40 minute detour.
Very good looking and comfy boutique hotel.
The staff were super friendly and helpful , special thanks to Pedro , he helped us with our heavy luggages
The location is great, close to all the palaces and parks
The breakfast was amazing, simple and tasty
I was given a heater. I was given anything I needed for my comfort. The best thing was the good, peaceful, safe feeling I had when I was there. No other place offered that intangible service as I drive to a new place every day fir a week in Portugal.
The property was beautiful! We only had one night there on our last day in Portugal and wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the brunch in their cute brunch area. The hotel had so much character and charm. We loved it.
Miguel was a wonderful, helpful host. The home is the best one we stayed in during our month long trip to Portugal: well built, immaculate, everything worked, fabulous location, large and bright, gorgeous views.
This place is an absolute gem! Beautiful boutique hotel with a lot of attention to detail. Would like to stay longer next time. Great place to explore Sintra.
Convenient parking just in from of the hotel.
An excellent hotel. Great attention to detail, staff are extremely attentive and charming. Food was some of the best food we ate on our two week holiday across Portugal. Highly recommend.
