Apparently this has been a tourist destination for many years but the old building has been modernised inside. At least our room, the dining area and the reception area were modern. We didn't use the lift because stairs led directly to our room. The man in charge of the breakfast rates special mention. He was very helpful both at breakfast and helped find other staff when we were leaving. There was a gentle grey cat who supervised the car park. The accommodation was signposted from the town. You drive up into the hills then at the T-junction there was nothing so we asked at the cafe. You turn left at the junction and the right turn for the hotel is shown soon after.
This 18th century home was recently renovated, while still maintaining its unique features, such as the facade with traditional Portuguese tiled panels.

We were impressed by the spirit of the house, it is an ancient stony building with history - here you will find hundred-years furniture, a huge library, chapel, paintings and many different historical things.
Despite the fact the house is ancient, it is very clean and comfortable, bathrooms are modern.
Natalia is an amazing housekeeper - she met us, showed the house and helped us with laundry. She was kind and helped us with all the questions we had.
Mediterranean breakfast was good as well.
Should we stay in Seixal next time, we will definitely choose Casa Das Videiras.

the view is spectacular and the host very friendly, this place is in the countryside above sao vicente and you will hear sheep and chickens. We would certainly choose the same place next time we visit madeira. Good for couples or close friends😊

It was clean and had parking places. A grocery store is just next to and the apartment is quite big for the money we payed. It also has a nice view.

We didn’t expect the garden to be this large. Just like a park, it was not only colourful but also cosy and extremely well maintained. The hosts were super friendly, always open for a nice conversation and provided us at our arrival with all necessary information about the accomodation. Both the indoor and outdoor kitchen were equipped with anything we needed to cook and eat. In the evening, you can relax at the cozy bar that offers delicious and fresh made drinks for fair prices.
Solar da Bica is a cosy and tranquil retreat. This comfortable guest house faces the mountains and has green natural surroundings. The Solar features accommodation in rooms and an apartment.
