Carlos is very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of breakfast fixings in the morning. If you want to eat earlier he will drop off fresh bread the night before so you don’t have to wait til he gets there at 730

Rita is a really wonderful host and makes you feel right at home. So even for someone a little more introverted like me I felt comfortable.
There are some lovely facilities: the pool, the game/lounge room and the eating area are all really cozy and nice spaces to just hangout and relax.
The bedroom was nice and clean and a fan was provided to help with Santarém's heat.
I really recommend Avó Rosa Guesthouse as a place to just stay and relax away from the city.

I did not realize how remote and isolated the location was when I booked it. There is no where to go. It's not a good choice for someone without a car. I booked it only because there was no where else available in Santarem. I arrived hungry, without dinner and there is nothing around. The owners are extremely nice. They ordered a pizza for me. Nothing is in walking distance.
