Quiet property in a convenient location for visiting Alentejo. The hosts are very welcoming and gracious. The pool and activities would make it a good choice for families with children. They provided us with two fans which were much appreciated in the heat since there is no air conditioning.

Great location about 2.5 km from Redondo. Easy access through a private gate into th property. Hostess and host were very welcoming with excellent English for those who have limited to no Portuguese. Very quiet since the guest lodging is about 250 meters away from the country road. Fantastic breakfast each day with local ingredients - the home made pumpkin jam was so good we asked for the recipe. Very comfortable - would definitely stay there again!

This is a great location for visiting the many historic towns in the area, not least the local border castles and the many wineries. The views across the Alentejo plains from the higher points are spectacular.

In times of pandemic, it’s not always possible to offer what you normally offer but this hotel exceeded expectations in that area. The convento is spectacularly renovated retaining a lot of its history. The food was great. Next time we’d get a suite!

The rooms were comfortable and evocative of past history. The grounds were immaculately kept and there is so much to experience on the property. Exploring the convent was one of the highlights of our stay with the beautiful tiled walls, chapels and art work. The convent was peaceful and serene with a lovely overlook of the hills. In addition to the amazing dinner we had in the hotel restaurant, the staff were fantastic and the convent cats were fun to watch!
The room was full of atmosphere in an old monk's cell with beautiful old tiles on the wall. The view over the valley was superb and everywhere was peaceful and serene. The whole hotel was covered in ancient ceramic tiles and there were beautiful fountains. The pools were lovely and there were plenty of sunbeds and set in tranquil gardens. Meals were served in the cloisters and the quality of the food was excellent and made with local produce.
The convent is really a gem, we are so glad we picked this location;
It’s absolutely stunning and the views are amazing. Very unique experience.
breakfast is very good; staff are friendly;
The room we stayed at (room 131)was very good and has a couple of chairs and umbrellas right at the front with beautiful views;
The restaurant at the hotel is excellent;
Our son loved the pool and the play room;
The hotel is very beautiful and located in a great place! You can easily get to Estremoz, Evora, and different vineyards nearby (for example, Herdade do Freixo). It's a great place for people who want to spent time outdoors. You can play padel tennis and hike in mountains surrounding the hotel.
Amazing nice buildings and location, 2 pools and views good to relax - rooms are typical for Portugues Hotel Rurals. Museum on site, breakfast good choice incl. warm. brewed coffee (is better than from machines)
Unique place, like a museum. Definitely one of the best places we stayed at in Portugal. A 4star hotel in an old monastery is not that common.
The place was very nice, and they have a nice wine selection.
We loved the peaceful ambieance of the area and the beautiful and historic building that the hotel is located in. The restaurant was excellent and the breakfasts were also excellent.
Amazing place. An old convent converted to a hotel, huge place with endless beautiful rooms and gardens, good restaurant and 2 swimming pools.
Quite and relaxed.
It is incredible how this old convent was transformed into an amazing hotel, maintaining its original looks. The staff is extremely nice and available!
