Close to main square, had a tub but did not have time to use it. Cheaper as we didn’t stay a night but checked in for 2 night as we were arriving early and leaving late. Breakfast was really good too

Julio and his wife were amazing hosts! The room was absolutely beautiful! An absolute amazing experience. Julio was so helpful. We didn't bring any drinks or snacks, and Julio took us on his boat to another island to get supplies and gave us a small tour around the area. I will definitely recommend this place!

It is certainly an experience. It is not everyday you sleep in a room built on a floating island made from Totora reeds. And you can feel the gentle sway all night long and especially in the morning when there is more boat traffic.
The terrace is a beautiful place to spend the afternoon. Make sure you book one of the rooms with sliding curtains on the terrace, our neighbors where absolutely frying to a crisp and with the sun in their eyes.
The short ride on the “Mercedes Benz” boats as they are called was also quite nice.
All this, and I suppose the price to visit and keep this traditional way of life of the Uros community does come at a price though.
Be prepared to be charged and overcharged for absolutely everything. It is to be expected but when the bill came around it still came as a shocking surprise to our wallets with extra and surprise fees.
For the price, it seems Uros Titikaka at least, was sleeping a bit on their laurels.
The Terrace and room was tidy and nice but we couldńt take a picture of the sunrise through the back window because it was a horrible garbage pit. Used tires, beer bottles, trash…
The toilet, which is the same system our cat uses at home, quickly filled up and until mid morning nobody came around to scoop and tidy everything up.
The bed sheets, from what we saw after our neighbors came and went were never washed. They dońt even have a washing machine (how could they, its a floating island). The sheets didnt smell bad but I was left a bit itchy all night long.
The only mediocre meal we had in all of our stay in Peru where both nights we stayed here. And we were charged as much as top restaurants in Lima.
Ricardo and Cynthia where kind hosts, but it seemed like maybe they needed a vacation to get back on the types of wonderful comments people have left them and quite the reason we where there in the first place.

This was a surprise actually, didn’t know what to expect but it’s a really nice well kept hotel away from the chaos of the city. Our room was modest and although we only had one night here on our transit to Cusco, it’ll be high on my list when we go back. The staff is also very welcoming and pleasant.

We loved everything! The room, the family ( Juan, Leonardo, the kids Mateo and Sarahi). Without a doubt the highlight of this trip to Peru.
