Do yourself a favour and stay here, we had an incredible time! From the beautiful decor to the thoughtful little touches (fresh eggs, juice, bread and milk, and a smore kit), everything was just really pleasant, and the host was really helpful and responsive. We took up the option to order a charcuterie board and onsite massages - amazing!

It was a beautiful location, clean, quiet, and a relaxing stay at Nadarra Hideaway. The owners were lovely, and had great suggestions for things to see and local guidebooks available.

The location was just great for us, close to the glowing warm cave, so we could have an early reservation.
We arrived after a few hours of driving, and the outdoor bath was in place
Food for breakfast was good.
The owners were very nice to talk to.

It was great to have breakfast provided as we were near the end of our trip and were trying to finish up our food supplies. Chris and Dave's is clean, comfortable and good value for money.

Fiona was amazing and it was marvelous to meet her. She took care of all of our needs. The room was clean and just the right space for us. We only stayed two nights and it was quiet and lovely.

We loved walking around the main street checking out the Kiwiana displays. The Ed Hillary Walkway was great with so much information to read and objects to remember growing up in NZ. Railway Station worth a look and a coffee

Although this is a small country town it had all the conveniences we needed such as a Countdown, restaurants, cafes, great little unique shops, the kiwi house, green spaces, good public toilets, a big laundromat, take aways etc. Also very close to the Waitomo Caves, which is very handy.

We loved everything about our stay.
We loved everything about our stay. We arrived late at night and the room was waiting for us with the cosy warm light on so we knew exactly where to go in the dark. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and big and the breakfast was delicious. I can not think of anything should have been better, we were 100% satisfied and would love to stay longer or come back.

Loved the location, facilities, breakfast and welcoming host.
It was perfect for our overnight stay and we really should have stayed a second night.
The cabin is cute, well appointed and has a little deck with outdoor table & chairs.
It was slightly ‘tight’ for room with our big traveling cases but we made it work.

Otorohanga us a hidden gem.
Otorohanga us a hidden gem. More shops than I thought were there. A fabulous selection of all types too. Eateries are great. Crafty style shops great too. Gift shops, bakeries, bars are all great. No complaints at all. In fact I've arranged to meet a good friend for lunch in Otorohanga. She lives in Papamoa and I live in Stratford. It's half way and Wirth the travel.
Love it! Take a drive, stay at Chris & Dave's. Soak up the atmosphere.

The salt water pool was lovely and clean.
The salt water pool was lovely and clean. I don't like ants and the place was riddled with them. There was noone in the office to discuss issues with. The towels were well worn, but were replaced daily. The communal kitchens were not well equipped.
This really is a hidden gem. We booked the cabin which has stunning views and was beautifully clean. Absolutely loved waking up to the sunrise and eating a fabulous breakfast (provided by owners) on the table outside. We only stayed one night as it was a stopover to go to Waitomo Caves (which is very close) but wish we’d stayed longer to enjoy the peace and surrounding nature. The owners have a lovely off grid place and were very friendly. We hope to return
Way better than any hotel! One can easily feel that Marain & Noel really care about the place: it's beautiful, cozy, charming...
Mind you: set an alarm the day you check-out! Bed and pillows are so comfy that you'll definitely sleep-in. Bathroom sparkling clean, toiletries are great, nice shower, towels, comfy sofa and tables to eat inside or outside, breakfast is great... a memorable Kiwi experience.
Everything was wonderful. Our host Jamie, her two dogs, and all of the sheep were very welcoming.
Our cabin was cozy and comfortable. It felt like we were camping with all of the luxuries a hotel would provide. There was even a thoughtful breakfast nook in the cabin with cereals, milk, yogurt, bread, butter, jam, and coffee. We appreciated having a bite to eat before going about our adventures.
We loved this little farmstay. The hosts were amazing. Everything was spick and span. Super comfortable and they were so thoughtful and asked if we wanted anything while they were in town. Couldn't thank them enough. Just perfect for going to the wedding in Otorohanga which was 5-7 mins drive away. We would happily stay here again if we don't have the kids with us.
The view over the town is amazing. The space is also amazing - we had a beautiful outdoor area, comfortable rooms, a full kitchen and a really lovely living area. Wished we stayed longer as it is such a lovely place to relax. Wished we had time to do some of the Waitomo walks in addition to the glow worms cave, and also check out the kiwi house.
We like the convenience and it is quiet unlike some others around area. The manager was super friendly and nothing was a problem always available, but it's getting a little tired. Perhaps they will do a update over time as bookings pick up. Will definitely book again. Basic motel with pool and spa can't go wrong.
We really enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and perfect. Everything that was provided was off top standard. The staff were very friendly and made our stay very warm and welcoming. If we were to ever come back to Otorohanga we will definetly be coming back to this hotel.
The property has a very convenient location near the glow worm attractions. We arrived quite late, but it was still easy to navigate to the room and ate a filling breakfast in the morning! Nice and quiet even though it's a shared space with other visitors.
The location is great—it's a 10-minute drive to Waitomo Blackwater. The continental breakfast includes bread, jam, fruit, cereal, and even an oatmeal bar for each person. The garden is beautiful with a view to overlook the hills.
A large and very nicely appointed accommodation.
Polite and friendly hosts who immediately made you feel welcome.
Awesome continental breakfast included.
I will be staying here again should I again need to stay in Otorohanga.
The property is 10 minutes drive from Waitomo Caves. We were able to get there easily. The breakfast is included which is nice as we had to head back early the next morning to visit Hobbiton.
No Breskfast provided...but had a wonderful one in my friend's motorhome.
Cabin was close to front of Holiday Park..so traffic noise and the trains kept me awake.
i woke up feeling refreshed from a comfortable sleep. i really liked the fact that the motel was close to everything so everything was easily accessible.
