Beautiful location, the most pleasant unit. We stayed at the private cabin outside. The staff was very welcoming, and the cabin itself had everything we needed. The outside area is full of hidden gems and scenic spots. Only thing to note is that the mattress is very soft so take it into account if you suffer from back pains. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful property in a fantastic location that is close to a number of really great hikes. They also have a really great spa. The view from this hotel is fantastic too. I was actually quite impressed with the restaurant—I stayed here on a national holiday, and the hotel restaurant was one of the only options. That being said, the dinner was very, very good!

Such a gorgeous family room and kitchen; large windows open up to the fjord; absolutely stunning! The kitchen was clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom worked great. Overall, a great stay.

Maria is an amazing host! She was full of historical information regarding the area and knew of currents events to help navigate us on our quest. She is also an amazing chef, her fish soup was to die for! We wish her well in her endeavors with the historical property!

The property is in the most beautiful location. Not too far from Odda for any city shopping. We stayed here before hiking Trolltunga. The property is beautifully maintained with gorgeous landscaping and a spectacular ambiance. The staff are what made it an amazing stay. She offered to pack our breakfast for us the night before to take on the hike with us. She also did a load of laundry for free for us on a moment’s notice. We finished the day with a dinner in their beautiful dining room next to a roaring river. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. And cooked by the same staff member who had attended to our other needs. We had a great stay and wanted to stay longer.

Room was very clean and cozy. Shower was hot and pressure was great. Breakfast had a great spread. Enjoyed the views overlooking the fjord and the fun optional group activity of cherry stones and music bingo. Very close to a bus stop, but you must walk uphill a bit to get there. Great home base to explore the sidery and Queen's Trail, and not far to take the bus into Odda for Trolltunga.
All the restaurants and the hotel were closed. Not possible to eat out. The factory sale shop was closed at Saturday, to bad, because this is normally a shopping day in the bigger cities. The foodstore Spar was ok, selling much more than Food (toys, clothes, Fishing Equipment, hiking Equipment, house Paint, interior articles, knitting wool, fabrics etc).

Lovely little town, would happily have spent a few more days...
Lovely little town, would happily have spent a few more days there. Picturesque. The spar there serves hot food, which is actually very well cooked, very tasty and well priced with a hot lasagne dinner setting me back just 55 NOK.
The living room and kitchen were together and had a bright front due to high windows and a big terrace. The view towards the fjord was fantastic. Each room had its own bathroom which is very important when you travel with more people. The location was perfekt - Close enough to a Spar supermarket (which by the way has delicious salad bar and bakery) yet within walking distance to the fijord.
The hotel is in an excellent location if someone would like to go hiking. The kitchen is very professional for almost everyone who wants to make a daily meal, including microwave, oven, freezer, kitchen stove, and tableware. So, you can cook a nice meal before you challenge the wild path.
Beautiful location right on a fjord! The cabin was very clean and the A/C worked well for an unusually hot early summer in Norway. The reception clerk was very kind and helpful during check in. The availability of Netflix was great!
great place. we had a cabin with a patio/balcony with great views over the fjord. everything you need in the kitchen, the dishwasher was very useful for a family. even the sauna was used. grocery store is near by
