do not waste your time to visit the cocoa museum....charge rm50 per head and need to make appointment . [ waste of time ]

I am a regular before the MCO.
I am a regular before the MCO. This trip is my first visit and after that will be on monthly basis. I love the foods here but since MCO, Many Businesses closed down but some still survived.
Some new outlets and will take time to explore all this in this few months. I will always support the local businesses and spend my money locally indirectly helping to boost the local economy.
Let hope every breadwinners will be able to put foods on the table for their family. It is time to move on and work hard after the pandemic. May GOD bless everyone .....

The seafood was superb there but it will be great if list of good restaurant provided as guide . If buying fish or dry fish back home do bargain for good price, but it is still cheaper than Kuala Lumpur.

Tawau is a rather quiet city with bright beginnings and future. Ethnicities shine brightly in such a delightful small town. Tawau will grow because of its unexplored beauty of sun, sea, and shore. Tawau is also famous as a fishing ground in the Sulu and Sulawesi Seas. The fish market in the Tawau is a real eye-opener with different species for sale - whether legal or not legal. Small size hammerhead, bull sharks, different species of stingrays and barracudas are all in the fish market. The Sabah state government should encourage a fishing canning economy in Sabah to avail employment opportunities for my countrymen. Nevertheless, once Covid-19 is over, this place will be swamped by tourists from East Asia and Malaysia. Adios and those that wish to laze in Tawau, by all means.

To ensure all defect in the room done rectify before customers check in and to training all staff how to appreciate our guest. If the hotel in tawau want to be good need more training for all staff all section
City Garden hotel is in Tawau town about 30 minutes from the airport by taxi. The sea view from my room was somewhat distant, interrupted by trees and almost obliterated by morning drizzle. The room itself was ok for a one-night stay though the bed mattress was quite thin. Across the road from the hotel there was a large authentic Malaysian/Indonesian restaurant with fans and through breezes for aircon. The menu was mostly local dishes. My nasi goreng special was excellent.
I love the designs of the rooms . Very comfortable ! The staffs are soooo nice and friendly , the guy ( bellboy) who works there is very informative about where we can go to wat or places to visit. Also he's very nice to help us open the lobby doors for us helped us to carry our begs to our room. Overall nice stayyyy .. definitly will stay here again if we visit tawau
Overall we definitely like the size of the property for our family and it is located above a supermarket. Laundry shop right across the building. The area is very quiet at night. The amenities in the house weren’t great but we got the most of our stay here. We hope there will be some improvements done for better stay. Thank you for hosting my family in Tawau.
Hotel looks ok from outside and reasonably clean. However toilet has no door just a curtain and opens out to room. Lights dim. Deco outdated. Breakfast Malaysian style with curry chicken, porridge, fried chicken beans, fried rice, fried noddles, toast, cereals, coffee and tea. WiFi was ok
Location, staff, cleanliness, and safety of this hotel. The hotel is modern and looks really new. The staff are very friendly, especially Mr Fiqhri who set up a surprise gift for my boyfriend per request. Mr Fiqhri was awesome!!!
