The experience was very special. Team is very local and really helpful throughout the 2 week stay that we had. Garden room large, with outdoor shower and jacuzzi. Nice walk to breakfast and close to restaurants. Restaurants quite expensive (especially wine), but food quantity is such that plates were shared and were more than sufficient. Quality of food and service very good. Ecocentre and mangrove 'swamps', together with Langkawi cable car (go early) must do visits whilst in Langkawi. Taxis on Langkawi by Grab app, which was ridiculously inexpensive and easily justified high levels of tipping. Beach wonderful, but jellyfish restriction for sea swimming (Feb). Overall, lovely place and people, backed by excellent Four Seasons culture.

Very nice large room. Right on the beach and could sit on our patio to enjoy the views. Very peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed beach walks. Chilled filtered water on tap was a bonus.

We booked 3 rooms. It was very nice and clean. Direct access to the quiet beach. Restaurant and Shop nearby. We enjoyed staying there. The stuff was friendly and helpful. Everything went easily … renting motorbikes, organizing tours… even when we extended our stay it went smoothly.

This was a great location, it was a 5 minute walk from a small very cheap restaurant on the beach. Then hiring a moped is cheap so you can go to pretty much anywhere on the island in under 45 mins. The host was super friendly and helpful, leaving clear instructions for a smooth self check in!

When I first arrived, I freaked out by the lack of any shops...
When I first arrived, I freaked out by the lack of any shops/activity nearby, choice of restaurants etc. By day 2, I LOVED the serenity of the place. There was one restaurant 50 metres away, where I ate every night for a few dollars, opens at 4pm. wo coffee shops, that also served snacks, and a general store about 10 mins walk away. I had a beach to myself for my entire stay! Staying at Red Coral was like being at a retreat. Very comfortable, and very clean basic rooms, hot water shower, great aircon, kettle, fridge. Friendly and helpful staff. I can't wait to return. If you are party person, this is probably NOT the place for you! Get around by using Grab app ... so cheap!

The beach is gorgeous, but we didn't swim in the ocean...
The beach is gorgeous, but we didn't swim in the ocean because of the concern for jellyfish stings. Beach is quite isolated from the rest of the island for most activities, although the mangrove tours launch from the beach, which is very convenient. I wouldn't recommend staying on Tanjung Rhu because of it being far away from other things on the island (30 minutes drive or so), especially with kids.

Staff needs more training - most were new and could do with more knowledge and finesse for such an established resort. Some came across as unhelpful, not willing to give extended check out even though the resort was running on low capacity. Some came across as patronizing which can be irritating to well-travelled guests. Half the resort was boarded up - they should close and proceed with the refurbishment immediately, not doing things by halves. Food was sub-par for an establishment like this. It is one of the best locations in Langkawi, but run half-heartedly. Such a pity.

Its a tranquil, quiet getaway. A lovely resort to walk around, with an excellent beach with stunning sunsets. Do make sure to have a rental car, as the location is a little secluded, but the area is worth the drive. There aren't many restaurants in the area, but the town centre isn't too far off.
The hotel is located at the beach. You can enjoy nice views in the morning and during the sunset on a provided hammock. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, AC worked perfectly. The staff was friendly and helpful (they recommended us the best place for breakfast, provided transfer to the airport, etc.). There was tea, instant coffee, cold ant hot drinking water for free. Also, there were several nice fluffy kittens on the grounds :)
Suzie and Andy were very friendly and helpful accommodated all our needs. It is a nice and quiet location on the North of the island with wild Hornbills visiting daily (for any nature lovers). This homestay is very laid-back and tranquil with guests mingling around the bar and pool area, which makes it a lot nicer that a big complexes/hotels. We really enjoyed our stay there and are still in touch with the people we met.
A peaceful and tranquil get away! I felt very safe as a solo female traveller. And the staff were very helpful and friendly! The view is overlooking a rice field, you'll see birds too. It's scenic and peaceful. And quiet which I liked. Beaches in Tanjung Rhu are a short motorbike ride away. Thank you so much! I know where I will stay next time in Langkawi! 😊🙏🏽
The social area of the hotel is very gorgeous and comfortable, it can be seen that a lot of work and care has been put in making it pretty. It is located in a very peaceful place very close to the beach. The breakfast is delicious, especially the french toast. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. It is great value for the price.
Really great Hotel, Family Suite size perfect for 2+2, everything very clean and perfectly prepared for our stay. We were also very impressed by amazing breakfast with a lot of varieties served in buffet style. Location of the hotel is really nice for relaxing, if you want to visit island attractions rental car is a must.

Location is superb. Beach is right there and there are multiple restaurants nearby. Tanjung Rhu jetty is 10min away and Kubang Badak jetty 15min away. Perfect if you are going for tours from these jetties.
used to be a good hotel but overtime, many parts of the hotel need major refurbishment. prolonged covid19 lockdown and travel restrictions may have affected the hotel operations quite badly.
You wouldn’t believe that this is a 18 years old hotel. It’s so well maintained. And, kudos to all the staffs! Super warm, friendly and helpful. Wonderful, wonderful experience here.
