I thougt it was a private room but I when I came it's actually a hostel room which can accommodate around 5 people (1 queen bed, 1 single bed, and 1 bunk bed) but it was advertised as a private room. I read wrongly by thinking it was a 2 star hotel but it's a hostel lol. So I stayed alone in this a spacious simple clean room. It was a quiet night. It's a self check-in by WhatsApp.

On checking in- and a comment for all gated accommodation in Malaysia on Booking.com- we need to ask ourselves a fundamental question: who are we gate-keeping? Who are we keeping in safe-and from whom? Who are we attempting to keep out-and why, given the relative safety and security of Malaysia- a notable feature of the country? These questions need answering before visitors feel completely comfortable with what seems overly complicated check in/out processes

Bayan Lepas is in the middle of Penang. It is nearby Georgetown and also Balik Pulau. Though it was not near the beach, you still can go to nearby beach during day time and spend your night in hotels around Bayan Lepas. You can save on your accommodation and enjoy shopping.

There is water dispenser available for both hot and cold water but not functioning. Need to ask for a kettle. otherwise meet my purpose of travelling. Parking quite limited and small area.
The room is with King size bed. With quite a good space to move around. Bathroom, toilet are all clean. Very comfortable living for a day and 2 day stay. Free wifi, on the table and bedside has sufficient power points and international standard power points to use. Location is in Bayan Lepas. If work around this area which is the Penang Island industrial park, it will be a good choice. Out of 10 I would rate this hotel 8.5. The price for a night stay is around Rm300.00 include room charges, and hotel fee.
A Good place to stay for family with kids. Big size apartment with nice view of penang bridge & sea. So convenient with variety stores are available on foodpanda as it is near to Queensbay Mall. For Security & car park i give 5 stars (we came with 2 cars). Facilities & furnishings are quite old, but still ok, comfortable for 6 of us & really worth it. BTW, we stayed for 4 days and will be our first choice if we come to Penang again.
The hotel is located near a food court that serves a variety of local food. There nothing that about the hotel that is outstanding except for its location. I had to catch a early morning flight, the receptionist issued the invoice and wnet back office thereafter without even bother to assist me. For the rate, presume you could get a better hotel with reasonable services.
Nice, quiet and clean environment. I was surprised that the hotel had a complimentary minibar. Front desk staff was very friendly and efficient, they were very concerned that they couldn't accommodate our request for clean sheets when we checked in. So when we told them all we needed was freshly laundered sheets, then it was easily resolved on their end.

You can hear people outside, but during my stay the noise was minimum, so I managed to have a great sleep.
Rooms was comfortable. There's water dispenser in my room. First time I see this in a hotel room. Good for me coz easy to make my drink. There's a coffee machine too.
Good location if you want to stay in Bayan Baru area. Just next to SPICE Arena.
The view from the spacious balcony was very nice. Great for pictures of the second Penang bridge. The location is very quiet but we chose it because it's very convenient to leave in the morning without traffic jam.
I was very impressed with the Amari Spice hotel in Penang it surpassed my expectations.It was the best hotel I have ever been to I would highly recommend it to anyone.
