A great food town.
A great food town. Everything form $1.50 street tacos to fine dining.
Over a two week period we only had 1 bad meal.
We suggest skipping the restaurants around the main square. Expensive and not the best food in the city.
Everything within walking distance. Interesting museums, local market and a bee farm.

Good access because of the Train Maya, but, if traveling using the Train Maya, double check the schedule, is only 3 times per day, that the train goes to Can Cun.
If you have the time, are plenty of places near by to visit Chichen Itza, and Ek Balam pyramids, Cenotes, Churches, plus the regional food, just outside the ADO terminal, is a lady selling "panuchos", is a very simple snack that will surprise you with its flavor, totally recommended, I will go back, just to taste this delicious food.

Wonderful city well worth a visit.
Wonderful city well worth a visit. A long stay here would be perfect. Handy to visit the nearby ruins at Chichén Itzá and close enough to the airport without staying there, With a car an ideal pace to explore towns, villages, cenotes and ruins nearby. Beaches are not far away. All around delightful city with friendly and helpful people. Felt completely secure here. Would definitely stay here again.
A nice family run hotel in the center of Valladolid. Everyone is really kind and helpful. The room has A/C which is really useful during the hot days. Wifi works great. Everything was regularly cleaned and kept in great condition. The pool with a refreshing water was really nice. There are 2 little kitchens with all the utilities you might need. Fruit, almond butter, milk, coffee, water, etc. - all of this and more is available during the whole day. It is a nice cozy place full of plants in the common areas.
TJesus at the front desk, was fantastic. Jesus also possesses great English skill, as my Spanish and Mayan are weak. The waitress/ front desk lady was also very helpful, combined they make a fantastic team. The resteraunt was very good, menu selections were limited, assume it has to do with Covid. The included breakfast was very good as well. The hotel is 5 blocks from the monastary that normally has a fantastic light show tracing the history of Valladolid area.
this is our favourite place to stay in Valladolid… the garden and pool area are beautiful and lush. The rooms are large, well appointed and quiet. the hotel is in Centro and within east walking distance to the main park , shopping and restaurants. The staff at Casa Quetzal are welcoming and helpful. it is also nice that the hotel includes a good breakfast with the price of our accommodation. Extras, like a custom omelette can be had for a modest surcharge.
beautiful property, the decor is very colorful and inviting. I loved the lush greenery, it gave the hotel a very tropical touch. the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I personally enjoyed how close it was to the main plaza, wish we would have stayed an extra night in Valladolid. The staff was exceptional! The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. This is a hidden gem in Valladolid, we will definitely return and absolutely recommend.
The hotel is located in a beautiful historic mansion with spacious rooms, wooden furniture and lovely courtyard. The location is perfect, very close to the restaurants and all main attractions of Valladolid. The hotel has two parking lots, the main one is located right at the entrance of the hotel and it was full during our stay, but we were allowed to use another parking lot couple blocks from the hotel which was almost empty.
Very good location, not far from the city center, easy and free to park your car in front of the hotel. The room was clean, close to the pool and the breakfast was nice (it's not a buffet but it's enough with pancake or omelette home-made). The owners are so nice, polite and very customer oriented....definitely a good place for visiting Valladolid and if you want to live with the locals.
It’s a super cute boutique hotel with many details and love. We loved that it had a hammock inside the room to relax and a very comfortable bed. Everything you need is there, even a small kitchen to prepare some snacks/food.
The amazing and big pool is on the other side of the street and looks super dreamy with the terraces, connected to another building.
The location was perfect as it's right in the heart of the action, and the beauty! The staff were friendly and easy going. The hotel is the epitome of what you travel to Valladolid to experience. The beds were great, the breakfast delicious and the pool a relaxing treat. And the bar staff make a great margarita!
Fantastic boutique hotel. Beautifully decorated and overall had a very relaxing vibe. The included breakfast was very good, included bread, fruit, a main, juice, and coffee. The juice options were especially delicious. By Mexican standards (which usually means very firm) the bed was quite comfortable.
Perhaps the most pretty, boutique hotel we've ever stayed in, and definitely an Instgrammers Dream! Food was spectacular and drinks were to die for! Perfectly nestled not far away from the town centre and the staff were super friendly. If you're looking to stay in Valladolid, you must stay here!
Very nice, well-situated boutique hotel in Valladolid - a great refuge from days of visits and activities.
The rooms and common parts were nicely decorated, you feel well just hanging out and resting by the pool or on the terraces.
Very nice and useful staff
Comfortable rooms for a good rest
Wonderful welcome at this beautiful hotel with large comfortable rooms about a 20 minute walk from the main attractions in Valladolid. Loved the included items in the mini bar and the included parking space. (I did contact them ahead to reserve a space.)
Fantastic wifi.
Very interesting decor - feels like a boutique hotel. Excellent location - It's very close to the public square, Cenote Zaci, ADO Bus Station, etc., so it is very convenient to explore what Valladolid has to offer.
Hotel Refugio41 is a lovely boutique hotel in Valladolid. The room and surrounding courtyard is beautiful and the breakfast provided was a wonderful bonus. I highly recommend this hotel.
Comfortable and clean hotel, very convenient for a short stay in Valladolid. Very spacious rooms, perfect for family with kids. Nice and helpful staff, delicious breakfast.
The room was beautiful with open garden shower
The linen was exceptional , breakfast good and just a gorgeous boutique hotel
Would highly recommend to everyone !
Best located hotel in town. The amenities are a bit basic, but it's clean and friendly and located right on the town's main square. Best location in Valladolid
