Beautiful town.
Beautiful town. Lots of walking with hills and steps in high elevation 6,200 ft (1,900 m). Pricey town almost like a Mexico beach resort. Lots of nice shopping and excellent restaurants. Enjoyed the archaeological tour to Canada de la Virgen. Car is not necessary and parking is tough but not impossible. Many public lots and be prepared to pay 150-200 MX/day. Booking.com offers excellent tours at reasonable prices to see the full area. Wineries, thermal pools, Archaeological site. We found some excellent vegan/vegetarian restaurants like Don Tacos y Tequila, Soltribe and La Cabra Iluminatda. Some of the best vegan anywhere! Buena suerte! Enjoy.

The place was spacious and charming. The portable ac unit should be properly mounted outside. I knew what I was doing so I opened the window and closed the window around the venting slightly and closed the drapes around it allowing for most of the air to escape outside. Not the most efficient method but it worked. There are no electrical outlets near the night stand.?this wold be required for anyone with a medical sleep aid such as a clap machine. Luckily I had a battery pack. Overs the place is charming for days!. There an absolute gem if a restaurant right out the

It was beautiful and the people were extremely helpful and friendly. It was very difficult to walk on the stone streets and sidewalks. There was no handicapped accessibility anywhere that I was and I am old!!
All the restaurants were excellent: Los Milagros, Mama Mia, and Heche de Mexico. Taxis were plentiful and not expensive. English was spoken everywhere (but I went to learn Spanish- ha!)The hospital (MAC) and staff were excellent. I would highly recommend the school Academia de Espanol Americana.

I was delighted by San Miquel de Allende. The cobblestone streets, the quant shops, the beautiful churches and history. We have friends that live there. Their son got married and we really enjoyed the wedding.

Great vacation spot.
Great vacation spot. Unfortunately had to take 2 planes and an almost 2 hour car ride to get there and back, but it’s worth the travel time. 3 days is perfect to experience the city not counting travel days. Additional days are needed if you want to take out of town trips. Be sure to visit the Toy museum.

The room was large, the common area was large, comfortable and welcoming, and it is only a five minute walk from the central churches and market. There is a three hundred year old well right in the house with a rope and pulley and everything. We cooked a number of meals in the kitchen. The cleaning lady spent well over two hours every day scrubbing everything so it's probably the cleanest place we've ever stayed. Would recommend 100% and we would gladly stay here again any time we come back to San Miguel de Allende.
Excellent escape in San Miguel de Allende, walking distance (20-30min) to historical center. Easy to reach the Bus station and center by bus too (only 6 pesos). Near by a shopping mall and restaurants.
Room was very clean and with nice interior. Perfect temperature in the room. Big and clean shared bathroom. Simple but very delicious breakfast was like a cherry on the top of the cake - Kellogg's, fruits, yogurt, coffee and strawberry marmalade. Highly recommended.
An amazing value for the money, these boutique-type apartments are well located in Centro, close to Parroquia, restaurants, shopping. Loft #4 (of 5) was spacious for two people with charming decor, a good size kitchen (somewhat minimally equipped), and a nice bathroom with plenty of hot water and pressure. All units shared access to a beautiful rooftop with expansive views. When the internet was fussy, the accommodating staff responded with tech support right away.
Wonderful place to stay and explore San Miguel de Allende. It is centrally located yet quiet and peaceful to have a good rest. The pool is very nice to swim in the day or evening.
The room was very nice with a comfortable big bed, plugs near the bed, and a lovely view into the pool area. Breakfast was served in another room upstairs which also allowed for beautiful views towards the tip of the cathedral.

Excellent location downtown in a historic building, within a couple of blocks walking distance to the main square and church. Lost of restaurants close by, and a convenience store nearby. Spacious room with balcony view. Comfortable beds. Cool tub design with Mexican tiles. Kitchenette. Helpful staff, went the extra mile to accommodate our needs and gave us helpful tips. Will definitely come back!

The views were so stunning that I had to force myself to leave to explore the town.
And I tweaked my second day in San Miguel de Allende [SMdA] in order to have a lingering thirty minutes on the terrace before leaving SMdA.
The hotel was very unique and really boutique with the outdoor plants and creepers all over the walls. the courtyard and the outdoors were exceptional where you can relax with your family, read books or listen to podcasts. You don’t feel like getting away from these courtyards. It was a perfect setting and can be an ideal wedding location where you can shoot perfect pictures
The property itself was quite beautiful not that far from the center. Only stayed for a night since we didn’t want to travel to late from San Miguel de Allende to Guanajuato. Loved the boutique style hotel, with individualized spacious rooms, enjoyed the balcony and artisanal hand made soaps that they offer during our stay.
Cantera is a beautiful, comfortable, clean, boutique hotel, with very attentive staff. It is located in the historical center of town within close walking distance of the Parroquia. It has well appointed comfortable rooms and is quiet in a very busy section of San Miguel. I would certainly consider staying there again.
Wow - beautiful boutique hotel right in the middle of the city. Our room was beautiful & the staff was fantastic. There is a great bar/restaurant as well as a wine & whiskey shops in the hotel. Also, the rooftop pool, while small, was charming. There are many bars, restaurants and shops in the area.
Better than a hotel. Comfortable beds, spacious spaces, TVs, luxury bathrooms, excellent wifi, and the swimming pool is just across the street. The house is in a gated community with a lot of security, and it's very quiet. The house, location, service, and everything were great. Highly recommended!

Beautiful small boutique hotel right in the center of town - BEST pillows and bed! No restaurant on site but there is a Greek restaurant alongside the hotel. Great value, super cute, would definitely stay there again.
