The common areas of the hotel are very nice. The bell staff (all of the gentlemen who handle your luggage) were all exceptionally friendly and professional. Our room was very nice. It had hardwood floors rather than carpet, but that was fine. The beds were very comfortable and the climate control was excellent. The hotel was very quiet.

Guadalajara is a beautiful city but as women travelling together we didn’t feel safe. Most people don’t speak English so have to use translation apps. Try and speak a bit of Spanish.
Beware of taxis and Ubers. Some in our party were picked up by Uber and robbed and left to get back themselves. The metro is easy to use.

A big city to explore the multiple beautiful towns near by.
A big city to explore the multiple beautiful towns near by. Most of the attractions here are in the historic center while most of the dining and entertainment is located in the Chapultepec neighborhood. Again Guadalajara is an excellent base for day trips the towns of Tequila, Ajijic, and the Chapala lake and of course Tlaquepaque.

Easy to get around. Interesting history.
Easy to get around. Interesting history. Lots of nearby towns and places to visit. I enjoyed a walking tour of the city, a day trip to Guachimontones (very interesting and unique ruins with circular pyramids) and a day of tequila tasting and tour of the Jose Cuervo Distillery in the city of Tequila.

This is my second visit to Guadalajara.
This is my second visit to Guadalajara. We stayed for 3 nights in Guadalajara. One in Central Guadalajara and 2 in Tlaquepaque.
The first night we went to Bruna Restaurant (modern Mexican) great food recommend. We then shopped in Andares mall. The next 2 nights were in Tlaquepaque, great place to wander around and see artisan, local products. We also drove to Tonala as I was looking especially for Mexican tile, Tonala cheaper than Tlaquepaque. But Tlaquepaque more picturesque and walkable.
Very modern and clean facilities. Great shower. Comfortable bed. Big Screen TV which had an English CNN channel! Lots of power outlets and good wifi. Lovely wall of windows for light. Best buffet breakfast i have ever had. I paid for it as didn't book the room option that included it but well worth it. 15 ish min walk to Ave Chapultepec although I walked farther into the Centro Historico as I like walking. Convenience stores nearby.
We loved the look of this beautiful old hotel and the location was great. We had an awesome room with a balcony. If someone is sensitive to noise, a front facing/balcony room isn't a good option. But we got a private concert each nice and fireworks so it was great. The breakfast was delicious and we were walking distance to anything we wanted to do in el Centro. We'll stay here again if we're lucky enough to return to GDL!
EVERYTHING! This was our second visit to Hotel Real Maestranza in Guadalajara. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The restaurant buffet was awesome. The staff is exceptional. The bathroom is small but functional. Just be careful in the open shower. The tile floor can be slippery when wet unless you put down a towel to stand on while showering. All rooms are close to an elevator.
The Hangar Inn is less than 2 km from Guadalajara airport. We had a late flight into Guadalajara and a connecting flight the following day. So this hotel was perfect for this purpose. The hotel has a continuous shuttle service from and to the airport that can be ordered without additional costs. The room was very nice, clean and quiet.
I stayed in the female dorm which was spacious and had a balcony. Only one bed didn’t have a plug socket by it. Free lockers and towel. Nice breakfast of coffee, juice, bread and fruit. Free water. Quiet, respectful hostel really handily located for the Centro Historico. Secure entry. Trips and tours on offer, and great staff.
Beautiful traditional old building in the heart of Guadalajara, easy walking distance to everything yet in a quiet location. Our room was lovely especially with the private terrace space. Elvia at the hotel is so friendly and so helpful, we felt that she really wanted us to enjoy our stay and worked hard to ensure it.
The owner is a wonderful person who radiates infinite good vibes. Staff are the nicest people. Family atmosphere. Excellent location close to Chapultepec and the clubs and bars. 5 minute Uber to Centro. Can't say enough good things, just know where I'm staying again I'm Guadalajara if I want to have a good time 🙂
The centro location was great. But after tour walking the area, saw a better hotel just two short blocks off the Centro area of the Doubletree. I gave it a look inside. It was in a more quite area [traffic] and a better facility at a bit higher cost
The location in Centro Historical Guadalajara was exactly where I wanted to be. I was able to walk to the historical areas to see what I wanted and find many options for restaurants. My room was clean, and the bed and sofa were very comfortable.
Very charming and comfortable hotel a block from the main strip of the Centro Historico de Tlaquepaque. Lovely rooms with big beds and AC for the hot spring months. I loved the Talavera tiles in the bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was located in the best central point of the city with easy access to Cathedral, and other points of interests around the city and other small towns like Tequila, Mexico. The staff was very friendly, professional and very attentive.
Great boutique property with terrific design and lots of lovely details. The staff was excellent - very friendly and helpful during my stay, and the hotel is in a perfect location for exploring and enjoying Guadalajara. Highly recommended
The breakfast was alright - nothing special. The service was very slow. For a hotel near the airport no one spoke English and was not willing to make an effort to communicate.
Good size. Hotel nice and cool and airy. Cleaned every day. Good common areas to sit in a and perfect location for walking around and exploring Guadalajara
