I can only say good things about this place. I love every aspect of it and I feel at ease staying here. I wish I stayed longer!
At first I thought my room would be cold at night, but the aircon definitely worked and I slept comfortably. I had a slow morning sipping tea while sitting in the veranda, enjoying the winter view.
The family who runs the place is very nice and the cat is super cute. It feels more like staying with a host family than staying at an inn.

Was awesome to meet the owner we helped and guided us on how to use the heater and let us know about the 160year old history of the house. It was very interesting! The house is very rustic, has a full kitchen and has ample parking for 2-3 cars. The dinner arrangement with the local artist was amazing and fun! Not to mention this place is like 5mins away from kiyotsu gorge. I highly recommend this place!

Large hotel with a large room (by Japan standards). Room had a good view of the sorrounding hillside. Shuttle bus to and from the station was very convenient. The onsen was good. I had a massage at the spa - it was expensive but good...B'fast was strangely in a banquet hall - but had a reasonable variety including some western b'fast options.
