Great value for money, located right by the port, with great access to the rest of the island. The host was friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to help, despite the langugage barrier (which with a little google translate, really isn't so much a barrier nowadays anyway). We went there for Setouchi Triennale 2019. Two art instalations are located at the Tonosho port. The town is more happening than other parts of Shodoshima, many buses from the Tonosho port to different regions. A good base/location to stay if travelling on Shodoshima.
