The hotel is right next to Shiroishi station which is not to be confused with Shiroishizao but which is about 1000 yen taxi ride from Shiroishizao or one local train stop. The hotel staff were very accommodating and allowed us to store our luggage before our room was ready while we went to the Fox village. I really enjoyed the quietness of Shiroishi. The room was clean although small. The toilet area was cramped but navigable. Many Japanese bath areas have a peculiar smell to them but the odor was less intense than in some places and with the door closed one doesn't notice it. The electrical and USB ports were well placed. The windows open and allow fresh air in. The mattresses are firm and comfy. I slept well

This was a very clean and comfortable hotel, right on the ski slopes. We sent our skiis to and from Narita airport via the affordable luggage delivery. Room was huge and clean, onsen was nice, staff was very helpful and friendly. Discount ski lift tickets are available at the front desk.
